Thanks for the info. I am not sure if I can make it yet but would like to. I also see Dan Keating is doing seminers.

I am new to this forum. Can you elaborate as to what exactly is taking place at Birch Run?
-
It may depend on when you wish to go. The Salmon move around. In the spring the warmer waters coming out of the river in the Niagara bar area will be the place to be.

I just found this forum last week and signed up.
We start out in lake Huron for Spring Salmon, Move Ontario for some bigger Kings than what are available on Huron and then to Erie for the Walleye and Steel. We fish Lake St Clair for Perch and Musky. Ususally a trip up North in the summer for Bass and Walleye. Ice fish as well for whatever will bite usually perch. Along with the lakes listed above I like to fish both Lake Michigan and Ontario for Salmon.

I have done it but can't say it has been very productive. But experience may vary with different waters clarity and temps.

Thanks for the welcome. As for backing I have spooled up some 4 color leadcores with lots of backing. The 4 color gives me the action of the leadcore and the diver then will let me have the depth I desire beyond the depth of the 4 color lead.

If I wanted to get a 10 color core down around 100ft or a little deeper, what size would work. Also where should I clip this, before or after the lead?
New guy here but I do use these. You need to deploy the leadcore first and then you clip on the diver. Then you continue to let out the line according to the chart to get the depth you require.

No such thing as hoarding in fishing. You can never have enough tackle and rods. Rod are setup for different purposes sizes and strenght spooled up with different line for different types of fishing.
