I tried this on walleye today. I did not like it.

So Mike... you run Flashers with your spoons on your riggers and then run a fixed slider above the Flasher?? how far above the Flasher do are you running, I ask because I want to try this set up this coming year.
I run 6' leaders for my sliders and put it 10' above the ball.

Nice job Dan! Couple of nice northern pike to boot.

Nice job Bob!
What did you catch them on? -
Happy Birthday a few days late!

These are bass fishing lures. Seems like in the commercial I saw for them years ago, they also cranked them along the surface as a surface bait.
I believe this is one of those lures that caught more fisherman than fish. You wont know for sure until you try them.

Nice job Jay! Are you going to go for 700????
-
Nice job Dan! It was only 29 here this morning.

When trolling for walleyes after dark, how far off the bottom(rough idea) are you targeting your baits?
Do you have any luck with shallow diving baits running just below the surface?
-
I am going to head to the store this week to pick up some walleye baits. I just looked through the lures again that nailer(Ken) posted in my other thread. It looks like all of them have rattles except one.
Does the non rattle bait ever out produce the rattle baits?

When you are fishing after dark for walleye's, how many rods are you trolling? Do you use planer boards?

Get many tangles running that spoon up above that dodger?
I run fixed sliders above my flashers on riggers. Sometimes they do get tangled when I catch a fish. Other than that, they never tangle.

Congrats Jim! Too say she is excited is an understatement.
Looks like one proud father also.

You can start a Ludington Fishing Club in the social groups.

I just got my butt off the couch after our Thanksgiving dinner. I injected our turkey with Tony Chachere's Creole Style Butter Marinade before I put it in the oven. This turned out fantastic!
The next time I grill salmon, I am going to brush it on the outsides of the salmon fillets.
Has anyone ever tried this on their salmon?

you might want to explain the differance in the 2 type of members mike for those who dont know. im not sure i even know
A supporting member is someone who has donated $ to the website. Supporting members also have twice the gallery upload size limit of a regular member. They are also allowed to have 150 private messages instead of 50. There is also a private area of the website that only supporting members can view.
The cost to become a supporting member is $14.99 and this gets you one year of the added bonuses. How much does your favorite magazine subscription cost?
The money that comes in from the supporting memberships goes towards the cost of maintaining this website.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I am sure some of you have a lot of extra gear you would like to get rid of. There are others who are looking for a deal. Here is your chance to list it.
I have opened up the classifieds for the holiday season to any registered member from now until 1 January 2010. Any registered member will be able to post an ad in any of the classifieds section without having to become a supporting member. After 1 January 2010, only supporting members will be able to post there.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season.

I appreciate the fact that everyone one of you became a supporting member. Between hosting fees, software license(s) fees, and domain name fees, my costs are over $500 per year. One of the perks for becoming a supporting member is the ability to post ads in the classifieds section.
Times are hard for a lot of people. I would feel bad if I did not give something during the holiday season. I am going to open up the classifieds to everyone until 1 January. Every registered member will be able to post in the classifieds until 1 January. After 1 January, I will make it supporting members only.
I hope none of you are upset with me, by me doing this.

Nice job Jim!

how about a snowmobiling section, seems like the chatter dies down alot in the winter, might be a nice way to keep things going
I would prefer to keep this a fishing website. All of our boats are put up, so most people are not thinking about fishing during the winter.
Maybe we will have to have a couple of steelhead outings this winter.

Any one need twili tips?[SOLD]
