  1. Great morning... 7 for 8. Only miss was on double that we had to put the rod down to net the first fish.

5 color- blue dolphin- 2 steelie- 1 king

10 color- blue dolphin- 1 king

rigger parked at 47-lemon ice- 2 kings - 1 laker

best depth was 120-140... Fished 6:45-10am... No difference in direction of troll. Speed over ground was 2.7... Marked a LOT of fish from 90 out to 150...

Thank you to all the service men and women who have sacrificed for my family's freedom... Happy Memorial Day.... God Bless

  2. Finally got out for a great evening troll. Started 90 fow, fished out to 167. Picked up 2 nice 8 pounders on a south troll, 45 down on rigger, with a blue dolphin. Missed a hit on a blue bubble fly 100 back.

Worked back in and picked up 3 more between 100 fow and 70 fow on a east troll. Again, blue bubble fly, blue dolphin and monkey puke picked them up. Ended up 5 for 8. Missed a nice one on a rookie net job... Great night out there. First time I have ever gotten fish on all 6 rods... 45 down on rigger, 100 back on dipsy, 5 color and 10 color all took fish...:thumb:

  3. I just added my first copper this year. can't wait to use it!

    leadcore

    2 color

    3 color

    2-5 colors

adding a 7 color(just not tied on yet)

    10 color

    300' copper

    4- braided divers

    2-14 pound mono riggers

    2-30 pound mono divers

    2 reg. high lines

I didn't think I had that much until I typed it up! Looking at my spread, what would be a good next copper size???

Ps. dont' show this to my wife!! ha ha

  4. Hey guys, I inherited a planer mast and boards. I mostly fish east side of lake mich. Is it worth trying to figure it out??? I have been using in-line boards with no issues. Just wondering if I even bother or just save it if I fish Erie or something??

Any word on when the small water temp probes will come on the market?

  5. I have the same situation with my boat. I'm moving some rod holders towards the bow for future trees, so I can run 2 riggers, 2 mag dipsys, 2 reg. Dipsys and 2 cores when I have that 3rd person on rare trip. I too have a place for a chute rod and have never used it.

  6. Great thread!! I updated my gps/fishfinder SMS can now find some structure. Most of it is like they said, patterns of long flat, followed by a drop... I have heard about the trenches Jim mentioned but have yet to find them. I must say I caught triple my amount of fish this year strictly due to the connections I have made from this site. You guys are great at sharing info and tactics... Thank you!

  7. 2 years ago, my hot rig was 2 color core with a gold thin fin. This year was 3 color and a bloody nose spoon for steelies. Fished only holland. I do always set 1 rod for steelies. Mainly a 2 or 3 color leadcore or a slider off the rigger. Troll fast for steelies too. Late fall I was going almost 4.0 on the gps trying to stay clear of the lakers and did quite well...
