  1. Thanks for the report, hope to fish tonight out of Whitehall if the rain holds off
  2. Fished for about 4 hours Saturday night and ended up with nothing. Had one nice hit on 300 foot copper with double trouble, but got off after a couple of minutes. No other hits and not much on the graph. Water temp was pretty warm down to about 85 feet before I found colder water. Trolled from 100 - 220 with a little cooler water out deeper. Nice evening on the water, but no fish to clean. Radio was pretty quite also with only one other fish that I heard being caught. Hopefully things improve for the 4th weekend, hoping to fish a bunch after the 4th and don't want to be just washing lures like tonight.
  3. Got out last night fished from 6-9 and only went 1 for 1. It was a nasty night for fishing. We sat down in 85 FOW and by the time I got the kicker motor going we had over 100 flies on the boat "UNBELIEVABLE!" They were everywhere. Never seen anything like it so fast and there was a pretty good breeze coming out of the SE. Turned off the kicker and kicked up the speed on the bigger motor to get rid of some of the flies. We managed to get rid of some of them and sat back down and they were on us again. We said lines and fought the flies for over 2 hours and no hits. The water temp went way down. It was 43 degrees 25 feet down, surface was about 54. Fish had moved. We went from 85 - 160 same story and same flies. Finally about 8:30 they started to leave. We did finally get a nice king as we were pulling lines a 1/2 core with a moonshine little bruiser. I think the wind changed directions a couple of times while we were out there and the waves were coming from all directions. The king ended up being about 12-14 pounds. Did I say I hate FLIES!
  4. Fished again this morning 6/11 and went 7 for 9 in same water. Strong bite again first thing at 6:30 and then by about 8 the bite was done. Nice fish, nothing over 10 pounds. Same program as yesterday. Love to be back on the lake and boat on the lift. New boat is working out great.
  5. Fished from 7:30 - 9:00 tonight and ended up 6 for 8. Pretty steady action in 130 FOW down about 50-65. Hit rig was a revelator blue bubble flasher and a bigweenie Custom Blue Weenie Fusion XXXtreme Mountain Dew UV Trolling Fly. Took 3 hits in a row. Mag mod carmel dolphin had 3 hits, mag mod blue dolphin took 1 hit, and mag mongolian beef took 1 hit. Mostly all on south troll. Heading out in the AM to see if they are still there. Hits came on rigger, wire diver, and 300 feet copper.
  6. Fished this afternoon from about 3:30 - 7:30 ended up going 6 for 11. Most fish came between 80-100 FOW and down 40-70 feet. Best setup was 300 feet copper and double-trouble moonshine. Mag mod carmal dolphin, mag mod blue dolphin, mongolian beef also took fish. Only caught fish on North troll about 2.2 at the ball. Not a bad night with being done at 7:30. We were quite a ways north and had to fight the waves back. All kings, nothing big mostly 5-8 pounds with a small dink we threw back. Nothing on flies but the flies were out there even with the wind.
  7. Still working on getting the auto pilot to work on the new boat, but it actually tracks pretty good on it's own. I'm liking the new boat more each time. It takes time to get used to the changes when you have been use to another boat. I have boat lift issues right now, so I have to solve that problem first. I do like the gas usage on the new boat and it does trailer very nice compared to the old one. Thinking I might be going with a different auto pilot for the boat, one that connects right to the trolling motor instead of going though the main engine. Long term this is a great boat for me and the perfect size. No regrets!
  8. fished solo out of Whitehall from 6:30 - 11:30 and ended up 6 for 10, throwing back a small laker. The count was 3 kings and 2 coho between 5-8 pounds. Lost a really nice one at the net, the net guy and the guy on the rod just didn't have their act together. Best depth was 65 FOW. Started out deeper and then came in closer and had steady action to end the morning. Mostly down around 40-50 feed down with a few on 7 color. Baits were mag mod carmal dolphin, mag mod blue dolphin, and Moonshine mongolian beef. Steve
