Welcome aboard !

Got to love it when a plan comes together !

Nice. You have more patience than I have. Can't stand combat fishing.
-
About 99 percent of them Jason.
-
They jig right where the channel starts from Muskegon Lake to the big lake. If you go you can't miss the boats, there will be plenty of them.
-
Not happy with your boards Jay ?

20# Triplefish line with 20# Triplefish Fluoro leader.

They usually hit the South pier at Ludington.

Already found em at a differnet shop. Lost a cannon ball on Monday (don't ask for the details... ) and need to get a new 14lb cannon ball, blacks release, and tru-track terminator clip. Couldn't find the tru-tracks anywhere. I found Mac Baits had 2 in stock today so I went down and picked both of them up.
Instead of a Black's, give a Chamberlain a try. You won't be disappointed.

I set my auto stop to stop the ball at the distance it is when I swing the arm up and drop the ball into the cradle. Works great and I don't need retrievers.

We went out of Muskegon also in a friends boat. Set lines about 5:30 before the 3rd line was in we hit a nice steelhead. Trolled for a bit after that with nothing til I put it on a South troll. Then we started picking at them. Ended up 5 for 9. Our best water was 215 fow. Took most hits 60 to 70 down. Black Church Revelator with a green fly and Dreamweaver Pete's Bait took all of the fish.

I glue on my own magnets.

I am leaving for Muskegon at 2:00. Fishing out of a buddy's boat this time.

It was an all day bite last weekend in Ludington.
-
That is a crazy deal if the boat surveys out!
That is what I thought.

Welcome Dan. Hang around, there are some very knowledgable people on this site.

I use the mini divers for walleye.

The Trophy's are nice fishing boats.

Don't be in a big hurry to buy a boat. There are lot's of them out there. Be picky, make sure it is exactly what you want before you buy it. I researched and looked for almost a year before I bought my Yar Craft. I am very pleased with it. It fishes the rivers as well as small lakes and it was out 17 miles last weekend following Adam around. My point is just be sure to get what you want. And don't be afraid to low ball an offer. The guy I bought my boat from wanted $21 K I went with that much in my pocket, but I ended up buying the boat for $16 K. With the economy boats aren't big movers.

You going to get hit by the hurricane ?

Personally I have never noticed one color better than another. When the diver bite is on it is on no matter what color I have out. And I catch a lot of fish on my divers both high and low.

A 3 color core is good early spring salmon or Saginaw Bay/Lake Erie walleye.
