Great Offer Ed !

With fuel prices high I would take a long hard look.
And if you like real early mornings followed by late nights, cleaning the boat, cleaning fish, going over your rods and tackle, fixing whatever might need to be fixed on the boat and trying to get some decent food, replacing what was lost or broke, it just might be for you. And you better be a good salesman also, because people won't be beating your door down needing to go fishing and picking you. It is a great job, but it isn't easy.

Not sure Ed. Never weighed it. Ate it though !

I fished the Walleye's for Warriors event last Sunday (Fathers Day) and we couldn't keep 6 rods in the water for 4 hours in 17 to 19 fow South and East of Linwood in the sail boat buoy area. That is half the gas and run time as going out to 1 and 2. The fish were holding high there also. I used 1oz BPS inlines 25 back behind the TX-22's with Fish Bones harnesses, the purples were hot !
This one came on a Au Gres Assassin Fish Bones slasher flasher a couple of days before the outing.

It was a great event. This was my first year and it sure won't be my last. We ended up with 12 keeps and almost twice that many throwbacks. I got the first two rods set and went to grab the third and we already had fish on both of the rods. It went that way all day. Our vet's were great and a good time was had by all. If any of you ever get the chance to participate in this event I strongly suggest you do. It is an awesome time and one I won't soon forget.

Great report. Welcome to the site:thumb:

Still love em, i'd rather have boards off to the side rather than right behind the boat...

From Knapp Street to Riverside park is all good walleye water. I grew up fishing the Grand in that area. Keep looking and if you ever want a rider I would like to go. I haven't fished there in over 20 years and would love to see it again. I am sure many holes have changed, but I am also sure that many haven't.

When fishing Michigan waters on Lake Erie I always stay at Sterling. Just got fresh weekend reports a few minutes ago, and the guy's did well on good sized fish by Sputnik. But that is about 11 miles out or so and in Ohio water.
If I was looking to go after eye's right now I would head to Saginaw Bay. The inner bay is absolutely on fire right now.

Got to agree with previous posts. Don't hurry and keep your rod tip low.

That is some good fishing !

Scott, kicking around fishing the tourney in my boat with Matt from Fish Bones.

Any Mayfly hatches yet ?

There will be a BIG tourney going out of there on that day. 120 boats. I am kicking around fishing the tourney. If I do I would like to meet up with you guy's after the weigh in.

Another fine catch Frank. Don't catch them all, I am heading that way in 2 weeks and have only fished that port once in a friends boat.
Good luck with the kids ! Nothing better !!!

Nice job, Steve! Did you take your boat down or ride with someone cause I know you got the new place and funds are tight! I know Chucks been doing good down there too!!
Went in a friends boat Scott. His motor doesn't eat gas like my 225 does.

The TX-44's are great boards.

Earlier in the week we did OK in front of Fermi in 17 to 20 fow. Not big numbers but big fish.
