  1. Thanks mike, the only thing is that i was hoping to not buy more for my fishhawk as i just got it but rather switch to the depth raider. I have heard that the probe on mine will just eat the batteries. and if it gets wet inside i'm done, but i will probably have to just run what i have now as the fiancee' wont go for spending more money....

  2. Well i am hoping that what everyone says is great. I just purchased two okuma blue diamond rods with reels and I am going to run the new 19 strand wire. WOW what a difference in the 19 strand and the 7 strand.. hopefully their as productive as everyone says

  3. Thanks for the info jim, the only reason i switched was the old line was ready to be changed and had read about the red. Being that i never tried thought i might and see but sounds like i should run what ever I like and just run a leader. should have known i can make something difficult.. ha ha Thanks again

  4. I was curious, what everyone's thought are for red fishing line compared regular clear mono? I have heard that the red disappears faster but other articles i have read say it really is not all that great? what's everyone's take on this. Thanks:confused:

  5. Hi, Im Doug was first told to check out the site by fishsniffer and wow what a site. I have to say this is so far the most informative and freindly i have found so far. thanks don. I am just gettin started back in to the big lake scene, used to go alot when i was a kid with the family. But boat got sold and dad lost interest, But now i have the bug so to speak, and purchased a boat last year and alot of equip. and hoping to get him and mom back out and get them hooked again. I am sure that i will be asking alot of questions as i'm learning all over again. tried a tournament last year out of grand haven but came up with nothing, but time on the water is still the only way to learn. Thanks and talk to some of you soon.
