  1. Thanks guys for the atta boy. best part I remembered to loosen the drag on the wire dipsey's " before" pulling the rod out.:D:lol:. On one other note with the wire, (19 strand) have had to now strip about 300 ft off one rod due to getting caught next to the roller, and also last night had it actually some how get wound in the reel where the spool meets the case...:angry2::eek:. Not sure why? but after half hour of fixing it was able to run again withoout a problem.

  2. Well went out last night was setting lines at 5:00 and went 3 for 3, set-up in 40 fow started sw troll toward nets. First one went in 80 fow wire dipsy set on 1.5 back 70 running a stinger e-chip bull frog super glow with a moonshine glow spoon, nice king around 17 lbs. Next one went in 90 fow on a wire dipsey set on 2 back 80 running a solid glow flasher with a stinger glow spoon.( have no idea the name) small laker 4lbs went back. Last one was on the rigger down 50 in 80 fow on a magnum green dolphin, Another nice king 15lbs. lake was flat all night came in around 10:00pm.

  3. Hey Mike, I have now run the 19 strand twice, It seems very good as far as the way it cuts through the water. I was running dipseys on 1.5 and running them 70 back when i came in to 44 fow I hit bottom.!! those are what i was running the other night when I forgot to loosen the drag!. The only thing i have notice is that the okuma rods that i got with rollers is that if i dont keep it directly at the dipsey ( fish) it will pinch between the rollers. have had to cut off 90 foot of wire already. Thats my 2 cents. anyway.

  4. Well decided to go out and try a couple new set ups, Fished from 4 pm until 9 pm with only one taker at 8:30. Hit on the new wire diver pole 60 back in 80 fow, never got to fight the fish, because I failed to remember that I need to loosen the drag before pulling the rod out of the holder!!!! whoops darn it.:mad:

All in all was a bueatiful night to ride and get the set-up figured out and build my confidence in my set-up. see you guys saturday.:D

  5. thanks for asking that question Don. I have often wondered the same thing but can't always remember to ask questions like this one, until i'm on the boat wondering???? Man i need to work less and fish more so that i'm only thinking of fishing.. ha ha
