I am heading out with a friend for my !st trip of the year. We will be out of ludington tomorrow should be on the water by 4pm. Anyone have any reports or where to start? Thanks guys

Well boys my time has come. They are discharging me tomorrow and I will continue my treatment with the va. I am pretty excited as I haven't been able to sleep in my own bed for just about a month. I am excited to go home to my wife and hunting dog!. No word on when I will be able to go back to work or even if I will be able to. May need to find a desk job. Still not 100 percent more like 50. But thank you all for your prayers and kind words. I am by no means out of the woods yet and may never be, but at least I will be home with my family.

Well I haven't been on or posted in a while I have been going through a pretty tough time. On feb 24th I was admitted into metro health in GR and was diagnosed with meningitis. While I was sick I contracted a rare disease called trasverse malitis ( sorry not sure how its spelled exactly) basically it infected my spine and started to eat at my cord. I am 75 percent paralyzed now from my chest down. While I was at metro as well I also A febed and had a sustained Heart rate of 228 beats a min. I had that feeling of doom and thought "that was it for ole big jay" right now I am at mary free bed in downtown gr. Been here 2 weeks and am being discharged on the 23rd. Right now I am able to walk very short distances, my balance is bad and I have a ton of nerve pain in my legs. Doc says I should be able to get about 60-80 percent of my walking back but its going to take a ton of time. Please don't feel sorry for me as this has to be gods will and I will make it back out on the big lake. But I wanted to update everyone. If anyone would like to visit me the hours are anytime after 5 pm me and I will give you my room number. I hope to see you guys out there soon. Jay

Been killin steel and browns at the damn, my buddy and I went 15 for 21 with a 13lb brown in the mix

Took a 2 man limit out of the musk marsh a few days ago.

Coffers would be your biggest challenge. There is a boat launch of the east side of the dam u can use. There is a great bobber hole at Charles crab

can you change the channel or is this only chan 68

Sorry for the delay in pics. Here are a couple of the limit and the trip.

Well I fished with Double Jay again today and out buddy Eric out of South Haven. We set 7 lines. 2 riggers with X raps in Red and Orange and parrot, 4 flat lines with 1 pink X rap, 1 pink Rouge, 1 Red/Black thin fin, 1 jointed orange rapala, and 1 down the shoot with a jointed fire tiger rapala. Got lines set about 9:00 by 10 we had 15 with 5 on at once. Ended with 20 good ones. Off the lake by 10. As we were coming out a boat on their shakedown had their motor fail and we ended up giving them a tow and bsing at the launch.

Well I had the pleasure of fishing with DoubleJay in his 18' Lund out of South Haven Yesterday. Got a late start and had lines set by 10:00am. Trolled south from the Pier setting up in 16fow. 2 riggers, 4 long lines, and 1 down the shoot. Best bait was the Red and Orange X rap on the riggers. These X raps too 50% of out fish. Also took fish on Red thin fin, Red and black thin fin, Chrome and Blue hot and to Best troll was south in Anywhere from 12-16 fow. We went 14 for 19. It was a pleasure fishing with you Jim. Thank you for inviting me on your boat.

Here are some steel from the last week cheesy smile sorry little jack and a nice little hen. all fish released and caught on 3/8/11. Sorry for such a late posting had a ton of stuff to do this week.

Went 3 for 6 today. Will post pics later this week

2 for 2 today. ! buck, 1 female, Both around 6lbs. Orange Wobble glows 3 beads and a dime sizes spawn bag did the trick. Tieing up some more bags right now. ill be back down there in the morning around 8ish.
