  1. I am back in BAy City and got to get out for 1 hour yesterday. Supposed to be fishing right now but my cousin is a no show.:angry2:Shoulda guessed when i left his house at 3am and he was still up after a long poker game. At least i woulda found a different person to fish with. Rather be salmon fishing anyway:D

  2. Fishwhisperer and i headed out in the Nee Hi last night. East wind all day and calm dead flags heading out river. 50 fow it was NW wind at 15 mph and 1' OK keep going. STopped in 75fow heading West and started setting lines. Built to 2 footers. Pretty much west waves:confused: Shortly thereafter the waves kept building and once i could not see above them and they started capping it was head in a little faster time. 2 marks in about 90fow but was mostly watching the waves:eek: We hit a fish on the 9 color NBK as we were clearing other rods. Had to goose the motor as a wave wanted to get in my boat and pulled the fish off. Lost another board on a 5 color that snapped backing. Never even clicked like it caught in a wave. Was glad to be back at the river.:D Light east back at shore. Short trip but better than staying out there:butcher::tease: Good luck to all my salmon buds this weekend. I will be fishing sag bay.

  3. I was fortunate enough to find a 16' boat 70's with a 15 HP merc from 93'. Its aluminum and not super wide but fishes the inland lakes and rivers pretty good. Use it to troll lake mich all over on nice days. Not sure of exact dimensions. Its a browning. Got pics in the show ur boat forum. Tows like a dream;)

  4. We run stinger scorpions, mini streaks and mini yeks and moonshine also makes a small walleye spoon. 2mph hr or a bit slower when the water is cool and 2.5mph when it starts to warm up. I don't think they have good action at crawler harness speeds. We also will hit a fish now and then on regular size stingers and DW SS spoons. Those bigger spoons will work good off divers and riggers.

Heading up to the bay this weekend with my cousin. He just got riggers last week and took him salmon fishing. Im gonna bring a bunch of my stinger and scorpion spoons to try of riggers and dipsy. Thought it sounded like easy way to throw some more at em.

  5. Ended up 3 for 3 with a shaker king, a 12# king and a 8# laker. Shaker was on Area 51 rigger rod 1 minute after set. King was on 200' copper with MS Brook Trout, Laker on 9 color with double orange crush. Not much for marks this morning. Fish spread everywhere. Fished 70 -205fow. Nothing for marks out deep.

Over friday sat and sun fish were taken on gray ghost J Plug, many orange green spoons, MS Mongolian Beef, NBK was prob hottest. 3, 5, 6, 7,8, 9 color core went. Rigger and sliders 30-60 down. 200, 250, 300' copper alll caught fish. Sat night bite was hottest and heaviest. Morning have been slow.

All in all a great and fun weekend with Fishwhisperer and my cousin plus wife. Will post pics when he emails me.

  6. AM- Went 3 for 7 with Fishwhisperer, my cousin and his wife. She got her first salmon ever:D Losing fish left and right and not much of a pattern. Fished 70-145 fow

PM- 5 for 9 bringing us to 50%. Couple doubles, lost a whole double:mad:. Great night on the lake. Mix of rods and lures again. Fished 65 to 120 fow.

All kings on saturday. My cousin and wife had a great time as newbies learning how to rig, fight and lose fish, lose equipment and have a great time!!!:D

6/7 AM- You will find out soon as im heading out now:D:grin::);):P

  7. Went out this morning with Fishwhisperer in the Nee Hi. Ended up 6 for 6 with 4 kings and 2 lakers. Biggest king about 12#. Fished 90-15 fow.
