  2. Nice Job Dirty Dog!!! Salmon Slamin @ it's best!!! Congrats to you!!
  3. Yes that is the name. It was one of the lures I won in the Nothern King challenge.
  4. Fished Muskegon this morning and went 8 for 11 in 65-80 fow. Before light Bloody nose lited J plug caught 2 down 35 feet. After day break had a hit on dipsey 110 back on 2 with glow spin doctor/green krinkle fly but got off. Then we turned back out to go thru the same spot and not sure what all happened but someone rang the bell for breakfast:D!! We had 7 rods in the water with 3 of us on board and 6 of 7 took off in about 10 minutes and we landed 4 and lost 2:grin:. Broke out the 2nd net for this fire drill. Moonshine, yellow NBK, bloody nose J plug, both dipsey's 1 at 110 and 1 at 150 back. Worked the same area and took 2 more fish 1 on the dipsey set at 110 and another on a green black ladder J plug 45 down on the rigger. Called it a day at 7:45 am. Sounded like everybody was catching something fom Whitehall to Grand Haven. Another great outing of salmon fishing!!!
  5. Good job Dirty Dog!!! Thats some salmon slammin for sure! I can understand why it is all a blurr.
  6. Nick, your right today is the 3rd:lol:. I am still in blurr after the fight that tuna give me last night:grin:.
  7. Fished Muskegon tonight 7 - 10 pm and went 3 for 4. Set up in 125 fow out by the nets. First hit was on a dipsey 175 back on 2 with white glow spin doctor/green krinkle fly. Faught for a couple minutes and got off 0 for 1. Set it back out and in about 15 minutes another nice rip and landed a 14 lb king:D. Went for a while and the other dipsey took off 200 back on 2 with green glow spin doctor/mountain dew fly and landed an 8 lb coho:grin:. Kept trolling around in the same area for a while and the dipaey/green krinkle fly went again. Line was really screaming and 25 minutes later landed a very nice king just under 23 lbs:D. It really felt good to have the arms aching:grin:!!! Nothing else went for us except the 2 dipseys but what another Great Nite!!!
  8. Tuesday evening went 3 for 7. Had a very tough time with keeping them on the hooks!! First time this year for my wife getting out with me and she had a blast. we started at 6:45 pm in 125 fow setting lines. First one to go was a lited J-plug on the rigger 70 down fought for a minute then gone. Next to go was the full lead with kevorkian with a very acrobatic stealhead and after 4 very high jumps GONE!! What a show!! Shortly after that dipsey with white/glow spin doctor/green mirage fly 150 back took off and my wife landed a nice 12lb king:grin:. About 15 minutes went by and the rigger set at 40 feet with blue/green froggy (Dreamweaver) come undone and I mean undone!! Could not hardly get the rod out of the holder and it never did stop screaming line till it surfaced. Jumped 1 time and some how un buttoned the swivel and you know the rest GONE:eek: It was nice to see it jump 1 more time trying to shake the lure:o. Ended the evening with a double header on the dipsey's with a 14 & 15 pounder in the boat:D. Great Evening in Muskegon!!! Posted a pic of my wife with the 100th fish this year in the gallery. Having trouble posting a pic with my post:confused: Also not sure why the other 2 come out black. Mike please delete if you would, Thanks
  9. Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We certanly appreciate it.
  10. Having a problem with my boat engine shutting off when I come in to the dock. When I turn the key off the motor will not shut off (sometimes). I have recently replaced the key switch and thought that was the problem but it was not. I can kill the motor by pulling the coil wire and then fire it back up and the key switch will shut the motor off. It is a 1986 Mercruise 170 hp I/O. Any help on where to start looking would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  11. Fished Monday evening out of Muskegon. Went 2 for 2 with a couple of nice kings. One 13 and the other 15 lbs. We took both in 85 fow north of Muskegon. One come on full core with kevorkian and the other on a dipsey set on 2 100' back with glow white spin docter/glow white teaser/mountain dew fly. I had a couple on board from Virginia that were Vacationing here. All in all it was a little slow but I don't think it helped that the coast guard was doing manuvers in 50 feet of water right when the bite should turn on. They sat over the water with there chopper for between 20-30 minutes just hovering about 10 feet off the water. We still took a couple of very respectable kings and the look on first timers faces when they finally get one of these hogs in is priceless!!
  12. I had them check us last year at Port Sheldon. It was the June slow down and we were 9 miles off shore trying to find some fish and no one else out there. He come flying out there and counted our rods in the water then threw us a plastic jug over to my boat to put our license in and throw it back to him. I would say it is pretty normal.
  13. I too would like to Thank Northern King lures & Brian for setting this tournament up!!! I and my crew had a GREAT time!! I am new to this site and I have to say "what a great bunch of folks". RedEye
  14. Rich, I fish a lot with only my boat and was a little nervous about the same thing. This spring I blew an engine coupler (thank God it was at the dock) when coming back in from off the lake. I now have a policy with TowBoatUS. I was very surprised at how resonable it is. Mine covers unlimited towing, trailer problems on the road, soft ungroundings, fuel drop on the water for a cost of $150.00 (there are cheaper packages) a year and they will run a 20 square mile radius. They have several ports from Benton Harbor to Whitehall. Go on line and check out there web site. Hope this helps.
  15. 20 lb on the riggers and 25 lb on dipsey's with 30 lb between dipsey and fly. This works for me and I have landed plenty in the 20 lb plus bracket.
