The spin doctor/paddle bite has been tough all year, not really sure why.We had one stretch earlier that the paddle bite was great, but it shut off just as fast as it started. I fished Thur-Sun this past week, we were 17-24 on thur, 20-28 on friday, and had 10 fish both days of the Muskegon tourney. We found two spinnies that were working, and trust me we tried a lot of them. The paddle bite was almost non-existent. Most of our fish were on spoons.

i'm planning on coming over for the Grand Haven Offshore Classic. As long as I can keep steering my charters away from that weekend I'll be sipping on some Michigan cold ones!
Nice! We'll see you then.

i could save some dime if i didn't drink as much beer too!
You and me both! You gonna come over to the better side of the lake this summer and drink one with us?

Just wondering? Why are you guys running 1000ft of wire? You can save some dime if you use a dacron backer and 600ft of wire. We routinely run our wires at 250-350ft back and have never had an issue getting to the backing knot. Now on lake O that might be a different story.

Good stuff. Thanks.
I bought several of the VK articulated flashers last spring and thought they were going to be the ticket.
I bought a couple of them too. Didn't like the tape colors so I taped them with our most productive SD colors....NADA... WE even had one in the water on an evening trip where every rod out of thirteen took multiple hits, that rod took 0. They do look cool in the water though!
