  1. OK, need some help here guys. Last saturday we went to leave the house and when I tried to close the garage door Shelley told me that there was no power in the garage. There was power friday morning when I left for work. Well, Shelley and Parker were sick all week so I just looked at it thursday and 4 of the breakers in the gargage panel were turned off. The garage panel is a sub panel that feeds off the house. I turned the breakers on and 3 of them still had no power coming out of the breaker. I thought that something had happened to breakers so I bought new ones and replaced them yesterday morning. Still no power. I tried moving the wires to a different breaker and they worked fine. The three that don't work are the top right, top left and the 3rd one down on the left. There are a couple below each that work fine. I have lots of extra room in the panel so I put a brand new breaker in the panel in an empty slot. No power. By this time I was tired and confused so I gave up. Anyone have any ideas? Do I have to replace the panel? I would appreciate any help.

  2. I would gladly pay double for a fishing license over what I do now. I don't have any major issues with the DNR to be honest with you. I have bought a buck license every year since I was 14 and have bought the combo license every year since it came out. I have shot 2 bucks in my life. I also buy a doe tag every year. I have shot 5 doe in my life. The years I shot one I bought a 2nd doe tag. I consider it a donation since I more than get my money's worth on my fishing license. I also pay for the state park sticker on both vehicles and would gladly pay it for anyone else who wants it. A couple of hundred dollars a year for all the money they spend on fishing for me is chump change.

  3. I have a 22' Sportcraft that is along the lines of what you are looking for except it has an I/O. I love it. Tows nice, fishes 4 large adults comfortably, rides nice in the water. A friend has a 20' Sea Swirl with an outboard that he is happy with, also. In your price range you should be able to find a really nice boat. Everyone has a brand preference but when I was looking I found out that the most important thing was how the boat is maintained. I would suggest start looking at sites like boat.com, iboats and others and see what's out there. And before you buy, get a survey done. It's more important with glass boats IMO. If you find something that interests you feel free to post it here, I'm sure guys will be willing to give you feedback and help you out. Good luck and have fun looking, it's the best part.

  4. I would run a regular diver for your high diver on braid.

This is what I do, mags set on 1 for low divers, regulars set on 3 for high divers. Some guys like running 4 wire rods but I still like having braid rods. During mid day I have had good luck pulling the wire and running braid with long leads for negative kings.

  5. I have tried almost every wire setup there is and like my current ones the best. Shimano Tekota 600 lc reels and Shimano Talora 7' roller rods. I also didn't mind the Daiwa Sealines after I upgraded to the power handles. Twilli Tips are alright but I liked the Torpedo Tips better. I run the 19 strand Torpedo wire and haven't had any issues but I didn't with the 7 strand either.

  6. Hey Russ! Haven't heard from you in awhile!

I completely agree. Most good fly fisherman will not have 12 rods and 12 different setups. usually less than a handful of combos, most of the time 2-3, that are always used. I will try some of the new great things out there but i usually will only dedicate one rod and limited water time. My day in and day out setup consist of 2 or 3 attractors and 3 flys.

Care to share your go-to setups Josh?

  7. Personally I would start looking through the gallery here at other people's boats to get ideas. I know every time I fish with someone else I usually learn something or see something that I would change or upgrade on my boat. Nothing major, just some tweaking. I also think it's a good idea to look at boats that are completely different than yours. You might see something that you wouldn't expect to work. After that it's just figuring out what you have, what you would like to add, and what you can afford to do. I always like to add 1 new setup, technique or presentation every year. One thing I like about big lake fishing is that it always seems to be evolving and there is always something to learn. Feel better soon.

  8. Would there be a possibility of just raising the enrty cost a couple of bucks was really looking forward to this seminar hope it works out

To be honest with the number of people that have signed up now I would have to double the price in order to just cover the costs. I was really hoping that this would work out but there just doesn't seem to be enough interest. I will still leave it open until friday and we will see what happens by then. I was really looking forward to it myself.
