  1. Capt'n Ron, Thanks for the very informative report(~: Alexander
  2. Thanks for the report Phil. I worked lat last night and was scared off by the wave reports. Should have been out)~: See ya Saturday (or Sunday). Alex
  3. RD, no tournament (or "touney?), just thought it was ironic that depth was not mentioned. I missed it in the 1st report. I was not looking for help Phil, thus no need to call, PM, or otherwise ask where you were fishing. Terry, thanks for the report. Last Post, Alex
  4. There have been no depths posted!?!?! In other words, no FOW. So why post? There also was no hesitation for Phil to tell the 150 other boats how he was doing over the radio.
  5. . . . it's the 3rd day in a row you have not posted your location!?!? Why post if you are goig to leave out that important detail? We went 3/4 - (2 @ 12# + 1 small King) in a short trip this morning. Fished 80 - 125 FOW, ~2 miles south of Holland. Blue & orange lures toook 2 on the riggers @ 50 down and the another on the full core with a Flinstone Bloody Nose. Alex
  6. I also us the swim noodles and label the end. I slice them about 1/4" deep so the line goes in the slit. I use the same thing for my flies. Alex
  7. Great day on the water and thanks to Tom & Bud for competing with Team Hollandpiper. It was an awesome feeling moving out of the bottom of the standings. My undying gratitude goes out to the Executive Board of the West Michigan Fishing Leaque: Caznik (Rich) - CEO/President Trout Tracker (Larry) - CFO/Executive VP Hunt4ever (Brian) - 1st VP of Donations Oakley (Brian) - VP of Communications and Donations Sarah C (Rob) - 2nd VP of Donations GLF (Mike H.) - VP of Advertisement/Marketing Larry (Heavy Action) - 3rd VP of Donations Alex
  8. I am looking for another rider for Sunday morning, for this tourney. Please send me PM if interested and I will let you or all know. I will be selective about my decision, since it is a tournament(~: Alex, aka Hollandpiper
  9. Great 1st post stillfish!?!?!?! Welcome anyways(~: Alex
  10. Well I could make up anything, since no one saw our catch. . . However, eventhough I'm a fisherman, I do have morals(~: We had 3 kings - ~12#, 7 - 8#, and 5 - 6#. We did not weigh them until ~3:00 p.m after the tow, the ride to Snug Harbor to P/U the boat, lunch and a cold & wet ride back to Holland. Alex
  11. 1. Rich, once again you did a terrific job with the league this year. Your hard work makes it enjoyable for all. 2. Jim & Bev, my deepest gratitude on the tow in from Lake Michigan. It was a long 3 hours, from pulling lines until we made it back to Fisherman's Landing. You are awesome. 3. 30pounder for the donation to the last place prize. My misfortune was a blessing in disguise. If I made it to the weigh-in with my 3 kings, I would have finished ~8th and lost out on last place. 'Til next year, Alexander
  12. SG. . . I've never heard of running flies off of core!?!?! Spinnies and flies are mostly use on dipseys, but I have had them produced on riggers also. With that said, they have never been the top producer for me, but here are some resources: http://www.luhrjensen.com/techreports/13DodgersFlashers.pdf http://www.fishresource.com/basics/flashers.asp Also, you s/b adding some J-Plugs to your arsenal this time of year. Alex
  13. I was going to vote to change. . . then I peaked @ the poll and felt pressure to keep it the same!?!?! J/K. . . I have to agree with Oakley. If we are all in this for the same reason, then the question would not have been asked. BTW, can I bring my previous day's catch to the next weigh-in? :rotflmao:
  14. I would assume St. Joe or South Haven based on past thread. But very secretive!?!?! Alex. . . from Holland:rolleyes:
  15. I have an opening for Saturday a.m. A ringer would be nice. Send me a P.M. if interested. Alex
