I don't believe there is a set color between manufactures. But the color is consistent if you by from one manufacturer. Also if you rig multiple reels with same length core such as (2) 2 colors, (2) 3 colors, and (2) 5 colors (like I did for Midway97) you can work it out so that just by looking at the color on the outside of the reel you will know how many colors are on that reel. For example: both Wayne's 2 colors have the blue color on the outside and his 3 colors will have yellow and his 5 colors have green. That way you know I want to run a 3 color core for the depth I'm in. you can just grab the reels with the yellow core showing. Steve

Levi, My speeds are based on GPS I don't have a Sub Troll. The next item on my list is a Speed & Temp. at the ball unit. Steve

The one good thing about multiple riggers is that it gives more options when fishing deep waters and you need to get down 100+ft to hit fish with out having over 300 ft of line out on a rod. They also allow me to have more rods in the water with out using Lead core because Core doesn’t catch fish; it’s just used to tick someone off when you make them reel it in. Steve

I’ll jump on it! While this may be true for most warm water species it may not be true for cold water species. I will agree that you need to very your speeds now and then and troll in a spur attic pattern but for speed the average is around 2.5mph depending on what you are pulling. With flashers and plugs most will spin out at 2.5-2.7mph. Last year some of my best days where running 2.9-3.4mph, running all spoons in a 20 ft spread in the water column, staggered ever 3-4ft. Just remember "You can't out run a Salmon.":eek: Steve

I bought a new house back in July and it’s located out in the sticks. I saw 9 different bucks last season on my new property and never was able to get a shot at any of the big guys. (1) 10 point (3) 8 points, one only had 3 legs (1) 7 point (1) 6 point (1) fork horn, he had to have about a 14†spread, I thought he was a spike the first time that I saw him because he only had 1†tines about 2†down from the end of him main beams. St. Joe fishing League dates for 2006 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These are the dates that we have set for the St. Joe Fishing League. We filled in the other weekends with a few pro- events. Seems like our summer just got booked full! Here it goes... April 1st, Brown blast. A blow date has been scheduled for April 15th. both are a Sat. This is a Port Challenge were leagues from other port come down and fish against the St. Joe league. If you have a league and would like to join us let me know. All are welcome. First League event April 29th May 27th, yes I know it is Memorial weekend but we are still going to hold it. June 10 Lake Erie Sterling State Park. We will give details out soon so reservations can be made at the park July 8th St. Joe Aug 5th St. Joe Sept 16th St. Joe We are thinking about adding July 22nd as another date. Time will tell. Start putting these on the calendar, get the discussions with the better half over with now, or invite her!! These are open events. Just post up on the the website that you are going to fish and you are in..... 20.00 a boat, a level head (to take all the practical jokes) and you are in! Your 20.00 includes a BBQ for you and your crew and great memories to take home. Trust us, we will show you a great time. Just ask anyone who has fish one of these. At the end of each League date I will make a post for the next event with the rules and layout for that event and we will start a list of who will be fishing that event. It’s not that people stop fishing them but change where they fish for them. Once the salmon enter into a river system most anglers will move with them, abandon the lakes and hitting the rivers. Another reason is that the spawning of salmon marks the start of hunting season here in Michigan and most of the surrounding states, and after a long season of hitting the water a lot of anglers are ready to but there boats in storage before the extreme weather hits. We have had some morning were we've limited before the sun even thought about making an appearance. But it depends on the port. Out of St. Joe the fish like to sleep in, Port Sheldon was one of my best trips last year in the dark and Manistee has always been good to us in the dark. We will run Moonshine Spoons, Everglo J-Plugs, Glo flasher-flies and cuit rigs. If you are going to run at night add a glo stick to your in-line planer boards so you know where their at. Steve

After you cleaning the fish I'll just wash the Roe off in the body of water that I'm near. Throw it into a zip lock back or vacuum pack it and then freeze it. Steve
