  1. I had fun out there Thursday morning. Too bad you guys couldn't hook into then on Friday.
  2. Glad you managed one. Never got a chance to post a report but we ended 4/4 all Lakers in the 100 ft range. 3 on a dodger with a spin and glow on the bottom. Nothing after we talked and you headed out deep. Nice to talk with you out there hockey puck.
  3. I got out for a while on Saturday Morning. 6 lines from 730-1. Went 4-7or8ish, couldn't get them to stick. Most hits were Hot and Tots flatlined. 1 on a jointed rapala on a 3 color. Fished from NB to state line. We spent most of our time between 15 and 35 fow but just couldn't get a good pattern going. Also tried around 50fow based on some radio reports. Took a hit out there too that also didn't stick. The sunrise was spectacular over a glass lake. Good Luck everyone, I'm going to go sharpen hooks now:D
  4. This morning was my only opportunity to get out this weekend so we decided to test the weatherman. Only set 4 lines in already bumpy water at 615 in 55fow. Trolled SW and hit an 8lb king 60 down on rigger in 65fow. Turns out the forecast was right and we pulled lines at about 730 in rapidly growing and capping waves (I only have an 18ft). Wish we could have stated out longer, but I was glad to keep the skunk out of the boat on such a short trip. -Josh
  5. Great work. So that's what I missed when I had to turn around. Stupid wind and waves.
  6. Well the weatherman was a little off on the wind today. We set lines in about 65 and trolled out to 85 before we decided we better start working our way back in for a short morning. Fished 6 lines went 2/2 both Lakers. Both came around 80 feet on a Blue Dolphin 52 down on Rigger. Both were loaded with Alewifes. Trolled all the way back in and raked the pier heads a couple times. Lots of bait or perch in tight with some decent hooks on the finder. Perch fisherman spread out all over but most were North of the pier about a mile. One boat on the radio said the Steelies were going crazy in 160 fow but they must have had a bigger boat than mine
  7. My Parents were in town so my Dad and I got out a couple times. Thursday set lines in 60 FOW at a little after 6 and trolled out as far as 120. After around 8 I put down a spin and glow and between that and a lower braid diver we went 6-7 on Lakers so at least no skunk I guess. Not a sniff from a Silver fish. We marked bait and hooks in the 80-100 range but I just couldn't get anything to go. Pulled lines about 1130. Saturday about the same start time but set down in 80 FOW. Trolled around out there with a ton of other boats. 3-4 With 2 Lakers and a Steelhead. Steelie came on a SD and Fly on a Dipsy set on 1 back 150 in 115 FOW. Told the ladies we would be back by lunch to head to the beach so pulled lines by 1030. Knock off was on a Full Core but I don't remember what spoon it had on then. Washed a lot of lures for the two morning but they were nice days to be out in the boat. -Josh
  8. Set lines in 60 FOW at around 530 pulled lines around 1000. 5-6 with 8 Rods out. 1 King 12lbs Dipsy set at 80(1) white SD Mt Dew Fly. 1 Steelhead 8Lbs Dipsy set at 70(1) Mt Dew Dodger blue fly. 2 Lakers on a 7 color lead and 1 on a full core. Boat best Laker of 17lbs 34 1/2inch. It was a fun day out with some friends from back home in ND and MN. We never went deeper than 95 and all hits were between 75-90. Was a bumpy ride back in my 18ft with short wavelengths capping.
  9. Set lines in 60 FOW around 0630 2 guys and 6 lines. Picked up a sub legal Laker on a spin dr fly back 125 in 85 fow around 8. Talked to one other boat with one laker also at this point and thought it was going to be a real slow day. Traded out one of my riggers for a dodger spin and glo so we could maybe catch some fish. 5 min later a nice Laker. 9 am in 105 fow we hit a coho on the free slider orange crush with the ball at 55, 5 min later another coho on dipsy with a purple spoon back 115. Nothing trolling North over same waypoints. Turn back south and hit a Double. King on the dodger spin and glow set at 110 in 105 fow and Steely on a full core with a bloody nose. Ran over the spot a couple more times with another sub legal laker was all. Pulled lines at 1130. 7/7. Hope this helps some people on the south end. Would be nice to see a list of St. Joe reports like you Holland guys do it! -Josh
  10. Sorry for the late report, I had a busy Sunday. After a bumpy ride between the pier heads in my 17.5ft we got out and it was not bad. Set lines in about 50fow around 330pm on Saturday and worked our way out as far as 80 and around with nothing for about 2 hours. Finally put a couple fish in the boat and it was a beautiful evening on the water. We went 5-9 with 2 Lakers on dodger spin and glow on the bottom (one nice one), 1 Laker on a ten color with a spoon, small king on a 7 color, small coho on a 3 color. Lost another shaker king at the boat and the other misses were drive-bys. All hits were between 65-75 for us. Sound slow on the radio, but it was great to get out. Rookies on the boat didn't mind catching some grease . Another plus was I have over 9 hours of trolling on a 3 gallon tank with the new (to me) kicker, so I am real happy with that.
  11. I was out on Friday night 730-11. Marked lots around 100 but we did not even have a hit. Hope others got them to go.
