  1. Launched in the dark and ran out to 100 fow. One foot rollers soon became two foot breakers with the tops blowing off. By 9:00 am we had enough of calm to one foot and pulled lines. We ended up 2 for three 1) 180 copper meat rig 1) DR at 50 ft pickled sun shine fly with white SD lost one on 300 ft of copper meat rig

Thursday 2 for 3 best water was 90-110 1) dipsey back 100ft green splatter back j plug---- salmon 1) 180 ft of copper uv green dolphin---- steel head missed one on 300 ft of copper meat rig Friday 2 for 3 best water was 120-130 1) DR set at 60---meat rig---salmon 1) DR set at 50 white SD with pickled sun shine fly---coho salmon missed one on 300 ft of copper --meat rig--this one pulled the board under (T44)
  4. 6 for 8 this morning 5 steel head and 1 king fished from 100 to 140 fow with 115-120 the best. Speed at the ball was 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 2) wire diver at 2-- back 120 ft white SD with pickled sunshine fly 1) DT at 80 big weenie meat rig---blue flasher 2) wire diver at 1-- back 100 ft big weenie meat rig ---jj's something????? 1) wire diver at 1---back 140 ft big weenie meat rig--JJ's?????? (salmon) No hits on the 200,300 or 400 copper No hits on spoons

Setting lines at 5:30am marking bait and fish in 80 fow-----WOW what a morning this is going to be!!!!!9:00 am no hits no fish no bait on the graph we have worked out to 160 fow when the 225 copper goes FINIALY--- short story by 10 am we are 3 for 4. by 11:30 couldn't take the heat anymore!! What didn't work for us SD and blue bubble fly--- pickled sun shine fly--- miriage fly What worked 1)225 copper uv green dolphin spoon (stinger 1)180 copper mag caramel dolphin 1) DR @35 down-- yes 35 down uv mixed veggies spoon(stinger) missed--- 100 ft back dippsey set at 2 blue dolphin spoon (stinger)
  6. 3 for 5 all steel head. spent most of the morning in 80 to 110 fow. What worked 2)DR at 40 down with mag caramel dolphin---- missed 1 1) 225 ft of copper with mag green dolphin 1) missed on 185 copper with standard UV stinger green dolphin Water was warmer than Wednesday but the fish seemed to be in the same area. All the people we talked with at the launch had one or two fish with steel head being the predominate species. Friday was the most boats that we have seen out this year. Still lots of room out there
  7. 2 for 7---there are some fish some fish out there!!!--set up in 80 ft of water and worked out to 135. the best for us was 100-110 1) wire diver with SD and mirage fly set 0n 2 back 130 ft. 1) down rigger at 65 with a meat rig MISSED 2) down rigger at 35 ft carmel dolphin 1) 180 ft copper with meat rig 1) down rigger at 75 ft SD with pickled sun shine 1)down rigger at 65 double orange crush spoon speed was 2.5 to 2.7 at the ball the temperature break for us was at 71-73 ft. with the temp. changing from 55 degrees at 71 ft to 49 at 75 ft. a very enjoyable day with very few boats out.

Launched at Port Sheldon at 5 am ran down to Holland and worked the 100 to 150 fow back to Port Sheldon. ended up 3 for 4 2) on 300 ft of copper bumble bee mag spoon--- 1 steel head and 1 salmon 125 fow 1) dipsey back 80 orange crush mag spoon small salmon that was released 115 fow 1) 225 ft of cooper with green meat head 10" big weene attractor---lost when he got into the other planner board 130 fow. A much better outing than last Saturday!!
  9. The worst day this year for us. Started in 120 fow and worked out to 190 and back again. Meat rigs on copper, spoons on dipseys and riggers-- SDs and flys on riggers and copper------------nothing not even a nock off. It's got to get better this was our low point.
  10. Started fishing at 6:30 in 80 fow temp at 50 down was 46--by 9:30 had worked out to 150 fow and temp at the ball 50 ft down was 51. Trolled out to 165 fow and temp started to drop. Ended up 2 for 3 both salmon 1) 300 ft of copper carmel dolphin 150 fow 1) 125 ft of copper pearl white yeck spoon 165 fow 1) miss on down rigger 50 down --water melon spoon tried meat on copper and dipseys but no takers--same luck with SD and flys

  13. nice day on the water, after a fast start we finished 7 for 8. 5 kings one lake trout and one steel head. From 9am to 11 when we pulled lines we had one hit and that was the steel head in 140 fow. Most of the fish came in 100-115 fow at a 2.2-2.4 speed at the ball. What worked 3 --DR at 80 large paddle with mirage fly 2 --DR at 60 white SD with pickled sunshine fly 1--300 ft of cu with meat rig--lake trout 1--200 ft of cu with 8 oz diver bomb sinker and a pearl yeck spoon-- steel head

  16. A strange day for us. We ended up 5 for 11 after a very slow start. By 9:00 am we had one fish in the boat. We started in 80-110 fow and started to catch fish after we dropped everything deeper .Riggers at 90 80 70 and dipseys back 140. Later we moved out to 140-160 and raised riggers up to 30 40 50 and 70. What worked DR @ 70 White SD pickled sunshine fly lost 2 DR @ 90 Mag Mongolian Beef 1 DR @ 30 regular Mongolian beef 1 DR @ 40 SS yellow tail 1 DR @ 50 Mag blue dolphin lost 2 300 cu Pearl white spoon 1 180 cu white SD with green fly lost 2 dipsey out 140 ft clear SD mirage fly A little choppy at first but still a great day on the water.
  17. 8 for 9---low but steady fished from 6:30 to 11:30 fish were smaller and more scattered than the last two trips. We covered water from 100 to 130 and from 35 to 70 ft down. 4 kings largest 12#s 3 steel head largest 8#s and one lake trout. 1--300cu chrome SD with yellow edge and green banana fly--lost 1 2--180cu double orange crush 2--DR @ 70 white SD pickled sunshine fly 2--DR @ 45 stinger spoon one edge green the other edge white 1--DR @ 50 flounder pounder

  19. Lots of lighting south of us but the rain stayed away and the lake remained less than a foot wave. We went 8 for 12 with 7 kings and 1 steel head. We had three kings over 15# with one at 19 1/2# 2-DR down 70 white SD with pickled sunshine fly--lost 1 1-DR down 45 silver spoon one green edge and one white edge and a red spot lost1 1-300 ft of cu mountain dew SD with green banana fly---lost 1 1-180 ft of cu double orange crush (steel head) lost --1 2 slide diver 80 back dialed on 3 clear paddle(8") mirage fly lost--1 1 slide diver 160 back clear paddle mirage fly Nothing on the large paddle's and fly's--nothing on j-plugs or mag spoons
  20. Very little fog!!! great day to be on the water. We were 7 for 10 and finally got the SD and fly's working 120 ft of cu pearl white spoon 1 steel head 300 ft of cu mountain dew SD with a green banana fly 2 kings and lost 2 DR 70 ft down white SD with pickled sunshine fly 3 kings lost one fish Dr 45 ft down spoon (I forget the name) green on one edge and white on the other edge with a red dot by the hook 1 steel head Largest king was 18 1/2 #s both steel head were just under 10 #s
  21. We had two kings 4#and 6# one steel head and I sure two of the missed fish were steel head that we lost before we could get the board off the copper. Lake trout came at 140 off the DR set at 40

After fishing Saturday and checking with friends that fished Sunday we knew right where to go.---yeah right!! we ran out to 200 fow and set down ready for some fast action --two hours later we had out first knock off. We covered water from 225 to 135 and ended up 4 for seven with the best being 195 to 205 2 180ft of cu double orange crush 1 120ft of cu pearl Yeck spoon 1 DR down 40 ft lemon ice lost fish 1- 300ft of cu --1-DR at 50---1-- 140 back on slide diver nothing on SD or paddles no hits on mag spoons
  23. 3 for six fished from 120 fow to 200 fow. Long periods of nothing (like three hours) at one stretch 0-1 dipsey back 140 mountain dew SD with green banana fly 1-2 300 cu mag green dolphin 1-1 200 cu double orange crush 1-2 DR at 50 regular green dolphin
