  1. I think I now have my radio figured out. I took my antenna and pulled the inside of it out and the wire came unsoldered from the metal rod and the rod was caroded bad wich explains why it was not transmitting and receiving only on occassion. Hope this helps with anybody that might have the similar problem.

  2. Fished solo out of musk. this a.m. went 1 for 2 in 135 to 165 fow. First fish was on a full core lemon ice Dreamweaver spoon and fish #2 was on blue dolphin Dreamweaver 60 down on a rigger I successfully batted that one off with the net trying to keep things under control solo. I chose to go a hair north and foun the nets running from 120 to 140 fow If I remember they were around 13n and 26w. The water was 44 on the surface and 40 to 42 at 60 down. From the little talk on the radio it sounded like 160 fow south of the filtration plant was bringing decent #`s of fish.

  3. You did not miss much. We went 1 for 1 just a laker in 35 fow on a 1/2 core with NBK at 10:30 just north of the mud line. Just a ton of boat traffic today I think every boat in Muskegon was out. As for you ? about the guys inside are perchers as far as I know.

  4. The guy that is just out of the picture to the south is fishing a little to deep and running a little to fast.:) But that`s all I could tell from here. Hopefully I will see him in the morning so I can find out what finally worked for him.:) I will be out in the morning leaving at 6:30 out of muskegon give a shout for Minnow on 68. See Ya!

  5. Went out this morning for a couple hours for the first run of the year. We had no problems with equipment and did manage to get a coulpe nice fish. We went south of the channel and hooked into a 8 lb steelie just south of the second jettie in 12' of water on a smelt colored rapala 75' back on a board. Our second fish came just after we turned to go with the waves that were building as the rain was blowing in it turned out to be a 3 lb brown that bit a orange and white rapala 100' back on a board over about 16' of water. The water on the surface was about 44 degrees and it was pretty dirty from all the rain and wind. Speeds were hard to control between 1.7 and 3.0 due to the wind. Well it was fun and its great to start the year without a black and white kitty in the boat.
