  1. Intellitroll Speed N Temp System: Display, RF antenna, power cord, (3) coated reels (2) new of cable approx 200ft each, (2) probes. Excellent condition, used it for 2 years. For sale $400 plus shipping. Going wireless on my next boat. System original cost with one probe was $549, each probe normally run $300, coated cable runs $25-30 a piece. Antenna placement and connection are critical for proper operation otherwise you will get intermittent readings at depths greater then 75-87 feet.

  2. I've had two fish hawk over the years and they work fine. My latest is the X-4, it's great. The X-4D with depth of the ball is new and haven't heard anything yet.

I know the speed and temp fish hawks work well, but I haven't heard about the one with the depth option. That's the one I want to purchase. I have a Cannon speed, temp and depth, but the display go intermittent once I go pass 87'. I want to get away from the coated cable.

  3. can anyone tell me if the easy troller trolling plate will work on a Volvo penta outdrive???

    sherman

It should work, email Ironwood who makes them and ask. Is your drive area flat enough to mount one? Do you have a transom overhang on your boat that will not blocking the release by the cord of the plate? I have one on my outboard which works great. I bought one for my mercruiser, but the new outdrive has a slightly curved surface so now I just keep it as a spare in case I damage my old one. They work great by the way. I have the wing attachment on it also.

  4. The waves were suppose to be <1'. I was on the wrong lake evidently. Headed out the harbor for our last trip before we pull the boat home. We got 3ft chop when you got out to 80' and it seemed to be picking up. We went SW and south several miles, but no bites. Headed back north in 75'-65-50', quit a couple of miles north of the harbor. Marked a few fish but that as all. Good luck to everyone with their fall fishing. We will be back year. Water temp was 48 at 70'

  5. Started the channel troll with a j-plug, crankbait and spoon, just to see who was home... No one. Headed out to the lake turned south to try and catch some brown trout. Changed the lures to SD and flies, different spoons etc. .....nothing .....water was 65 on the surface, sort of the edge of the Brown trout thermal. Headed out to deeper water 74' and completed a turn going north with a skunk following us.. BANG a 200 copper goes with a blue splatter back J-Plug on a board. North troll @2.6 gps. A 7.5 # Lake trout male. Might be the only catch this week considering the weather forecast.

  6. Those waves were NOT 1-2 ft. Coming out of the harbor we were in 3-4 swells. Headed out to 130' nw troll @2.8 gps speed lost one on a 250 copper w/ghost jplug 20 ft from boat bringing it in. NEXT was a dipsy diver w/green meat rig 150 back setting 2, on 2.3 mph gps in 180' ...caught (1) 16.6 lbs king. The waves were 5-6 swells at that time, lucky none were capping, but the flys were terrible and my 1st mate was not pleased being eaten by the flys. So the mighty Littleboat turned and headed in.

  8. Went out in the late afternoon fished until dark. Water was cold at 45'. You would think with the temperature band for kings within 30' of the top I could at least save gas money and catch fish. We noticed right away nothing was marking. So we headed out trolling the DR ad a couple shallow dipsys and a 4 color....nothing. Trolled out to 102' nothing. Headed south a short ways and got a 8.35lb king on a dipsy with mtn due SD with a BW Pickle Kisser fly. But what was amazing the current would move the boat almost up to 4 knots going south with my engine on the lowest speed setting. I think I could have just shut it off and it would have taken me to Michigan City.

My dipsys were completely thrown to the same side of the boat almost. The main point nothing was biting in these conditions, except the one I got just prior. We headed out deeper and had another bite on my SD and Pickle kisser, but this time it hit so hard it took them with it. Good bye $20 at least. Ouch! The waves were 2-3 foot and didn't lay down until about 8pm. Nothing else was hit 250 copper w/green flounder pounder, 1 dipsy with orange crush, 10 color lemon berry, DR w/happy meal and mongolian slider, 200 copper w/blue splatter back plug. I changed everything several times with the same results. I cover the entire water column and speed variations. We headed back in to port and my drive got stuck in the somewhat up position with just the prop below the water surface. Also the sheriff waved to me in the channel that my starboard light was out.

All in all it was nice to be on the lake after 2 days of sitting in port. But the wife said it was great shopping.

  9. Fished this morning 7:30 to 10:30am. 2 for 5. 3 hook ups (one we give back too small of a king) and one loss right on the transom bringing him in. A real heart breaker. A very large coho.

1st one (coho 9#)on south troll out of Holland @7:40am with j-plug blue splatterback@60ft in 142ft speed 2.4mph gps, on 200 copper. The two hook jumpers then the next one(small king 3.7#) in the boat at 9:05am on a 250 copper with a green flounder pounder, SE troll in 150 ft. 2.4mph gps. The large coho loss at the transom was on a DR @ 165ft in 187ft with a blue dolphin. The weather was beautiful and waves were <1ft.
