Good luck tomorrow. Please post how you do. I will be taking a few newbies out in the evening, hoping to get them on some big fish.
-
The Little Hooker is in.
-
Great job! Do you have a picture of the 27 pounder?
-
Thanks Bob. I'm glad you found some to play with. I would have ran right last them.
-
As of right now I am out as well. I'll keep an eye on the forecast the rest of the day to see if it will lay down. I can do 1-2 in my 16 footer, but 2-4 is a bit too rough for me.
-
Great job and congratulations on limiting out.

WOW' date=' nice work...ya you have been pounding the lake this summer.
Thank you for the continued reports.[/quote']
Don't let the reports fool you, I've had plenty of tough days this June.
-
Had a great day on the lake today going 7 for 8. Best waters were 90-110 with a troll speed of 2.7-2.9 SOG. All directions took fish.
Blue Benny- Braid Dipsy - 2.5 setting out 100 - 1 coho, 1 king, 1 miss (snapped the leader).
Smurf - free slider - DR down 80 - 1 steel.
Happy Meal - 300' 32lb copper - 1 steel, 1 king.
Smash Mouth - 300' 45lb copper - 1 laker, 1 king.
-
Thanks for the report. Could you tell which direction the current was heading?
-
Awesome! Thanks for setting this up Jon.
-
Nice job. I bet your buddy was grinning from cheek to cheek.
-
That's great! Thanks for sharing.
-
Thanks for the report. You didn't miss much in June.
-
Great report and pics! Was that brown in 80 fow?
Yes, it as we were pulling lines in 80 fow.

Thanks for sharing!

I'm in.
What is everyone's opinion on "Little Hooker" for a boat name?
-
Thanks for the report. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow evening with a crew from Illinois that have never salmon fished before.

Fished with my dad and brother today. Went 4 for 4 in 80-100 fow on NE and NW trolls from Holland to Port Sheldon. 2.4-2.6 SOG.
5 color - double orange crush - small king
3 color - orange spoon (not sure name) - steelhead
3 color - same spoon as above - king
Braid dipsy set on 3 out 80 - blue bubble spin doctor and blue big weenie fly - 19 lb, 15 ounce king.
It took us almost 40 minutes to boat this one. The best part is when I handed the rod to my brother, the king took 150 feet of line on its first run.

I will be out as well and planning on staying in shallow early and slipping out to 80 FOW later in the morning.
-
Fished 6:00-noon. Went 2-4 with all hits in 90-100. Lost a small steelie, hit and miss, and
2 plump kings. SOG 2.3-2.6, mainly a north troll zig zagging between 80-110 fow.
Rigger down 50 - happy meal - lost at net
Rigger down 75 - double trouble - hit and miss
Dipsy on 3 setting out 200 - orange flounder pounder - king
Dispy on 2 setting out 250 - standard caramel dolphin - king

Fished last night from 6:00 till dark. Started in 50 fow marking consistent schools of bait, but no takers. Trolled out to 85 fow not marking much along the way so we decided to head back in to 50 fow again going the opposite direction. Once again marked bait, but no takers. We tried fast, slow, North, South, East, West. We threw just about every lure in my tackle box out there. Judging by the comments on the radio, other guys that went deep didn't do well either.

Did he tell you how deep in the water column he was fishing?
