  1. mscst_2.jpg

Fished with a new buddy jamie and my wife saturday am in the silver streak mscst tourney. We were very lucky to have found a nice pocket of larger kings in 90fow just a little north of port. Speed at Ball was 2.3 and it was a predominate E and W troll that got the attention of this fish this time.

    Here is what worked

5 color magic man nice steelie and a small laker??

225cu 45lb SS Mag U of M Froggie nice king

300cu 45lb BLL Patriot 3 nice kings and big fish at 16.65lbs

10 color SS Miami Dolphin nice king

Rigger 60 Down BLL Tequila Sunrise nice king

Wire Diver 175back glow wonder bread pro-troll with home-made glow fly- smaller king

    Forgot the last set-up- sorry

Nice day on the water with the wife and new friend Jamie.

  2. Just figuring out the picture thing- a little slow:eek: This picture was from the armed forces salmon assault on may 19th out of muskegon. Perfect weather and the fish even cooperated:thumb:

  3. I just wanted to once again thank Larry from BLL:thumb: He was kind enough to donate a few spoons for me to run and give to the veterans I had onboard my boat for the 2012 Salmon Assault Tournament for Veterans on May 19th out of Muskegon. I struggled to find the bigger fish on saturday after 2 days of pre-fishing and hammering them on Larry's Tequila Sunrise in 70-80fow but on Saturday if was a little different and the fish seemed a little more difficult to entice, I did manage to go 7/11 and as I was all but ready to pull lines with 30 minutes left to fish I decided to run Larry's Patriot on a SWR 3 color down 62 in 78fow and pop it took off and 10 minutes later a happy veteran had his first ever big lake king salmon and it weighed close to 13.5lbs- having less than 20 minutes left to fish I sent it out hoping and praying it would fire again- and sure enough it did and another veteran reeled in a nice 12lb king- This moment almost brought me to tears to see their faces and to have caught our 2 biggest of the day on Larry's "Patriot" - how fitting and those 4 humble veterans went home with fun memories and plenty of fish and the lutres Larry donated that caught their fish. Thanks again larry:thumb:
