Quick question for all the meat heads out there. I've ran meat before but only the strips. A buddy gave me some alewives he caught off the pier, I put them in the borax/kosher salt brine. My question is how should I run these? Just pin the alewive and go? Or cut the head off and clean out the entrails then pin em like on John Kings website?

Hi quick question for anybody that can help. I'm setting up a new copper rig today and I want to try the shrink tubing over my albright knot. Question is how much heat do you guys use? Indirect flame? Hair dryer? I just cringe at the thought of using to much heat and weakening my backer.
Thanks

Set lines at 9:30 by the sparkplug and ended up by buoy 1, caught 20+ fish with only 7 keepers and many short strikes all colors seemed to work with antifreeze and cedarpoint being the best. 1 oz keelsinkers 25-40 back and 3oz BB. Great day on the water with my dad and brother.

Nice job! Heading over that way tomorrow to take my dad fishing. Just not sure if I should go to linwood or drive further to Au Gres? Did you just head straight out till you hit the deep water or start further north or south? What size BB?

Yes worked great with my 300 copper with braid backer no double wrap. (it was only a 2 ft chop)

Or Linwood beach marina.....Northport is fine but make sure they put you on a good dock and top off your fuel tanks because some of there older docks are pretty rickety and the gas dock has real poor hours.

I have a 1990 sabre with a 4.3 merc alpha 1 and my set up has a switch on the shifter handle to trim out your ride and a switch on the base of the shifted handle that says "trailer" that will take it up the rest of the way.

Sweet ride your going to love the Crestliner.
-
Yep Love em. I like the ability to remove/move my rodholders, cupholders, and tool holder whenever I want.

That's a beauty Bobby! Thanks for having time to answer all my little questions. Do you have a price list for your rocket launchers? or are they all custom? Might be in the market in the future. Mike

Made it to the show on Saturday and picked up a few more flies (magoo and wolverine look fantastic!) and a "fishing doggy style" T-shirt. Love the products and even better is the customer service. Had a question about the lead length on the rubber poofster combo that Nutnez uses so succesfully up in Ludington and Karen (I think) called him right up and got my answer. Thanks so much!

I would be very interested in field testing some of your high quality meat rigs and flys
I fish Lk Mi Muskegon,Holland, and Ludington

You might want to check into a Crestliner Sabre, very similar boat but no rivets hull is all welded. Of course Im biased but I like the Crestliner alittle better, its a nice deep boat and has good storage for all your fishing gear.

Just picked up a Saltist 50HA for my 300 copper the 6.4:1 gear ratio caught my attention plus "Santa Claus" was buying! I have used SG 47s and some AccuDepth 47s for my riggers no complaints here for alot less cash.

what the heck does the "kato" spoon look like? I tried the Wolverine tackle website and could not find a pic??
-
Does anybody know which tackle shops handle Blood Run copper and wire in the Grand Rapids area?

JK Krystal Killer off a rigger all day long.

I usually fish Muskegon and a trip or 2 to Ludington if that makes a difference.

Looking at adding some copper to my spread next year. If you could only have 1 copper set-up what would it be?? I'm thinking or buying a 300, but I hear alot about 200s?? Dosen't a 200 go about as deep as a full core?
Thanks
Mike
