  1. Sorry I hunt for meat so when one comes in and gives me the better shot I will shoot it. I am not out there looking for the "trophy." I can't eat the horns or nuts.
  2. We ended up with 22 for the weekend. It has never happened before! We just happened to be in the right spot at the right time.
  3. Thanks for the tip! I have hunted Bayport a few times. I can't wait for the geese to start honking on Friday!
  4. They were talking about PM lake. I have caught a perch on a Jplug!
  5. I would be more interested in a big duck contest! Have fun sitting in your stands all year!
  6. WHAT??? I haven't fished above 50 feet since MAY. Last weekend my most shallow fish was 68. I have heard they are coming up a little but not that much!
  7. Yeah it was pretty tough going last year. I did a lot of ice breaking. I am frantically trying to finish my layout boat for the bay. I just moved here 3 years ago and I can't take it any longer. I have about 100 flight decoys. Anybody with some tips on where to go on the bay? I am somewhat familiar with it.
  8. OOOHHHH BOY!!! There is nothing better. A screaming drag cannot compare to whistling wings. So what are the guesses for the opener? We have about 3 weeks to go and they haven't posted it yet.
  9. Well if you stay at Buttersville (if you can get in) there is a lauch just down the road by the cross. Quick, easy, and FREE!!! Otherwise if you go all the way back into Ludington go down Washington to Copyeon Park which is also free. There is the Loomis lauch which is $7 a day and will dump you really close to lake michigan. If you need more campgrounds just say the word and I will try to help you out.
  10. There are always people doing this off Ludington. A lot of them are little kids too. Who would let their kid jump 8 feet off a pier into 25' of water with huge chunks of concrete and boats flying around? I just don't get it.
  11. I am not sure what port he is talking about but it is a great report for Ludington if that isn't what he is talking about.
  12. Well last time I was out I marked more bait then I have seen in a very long time. I was going through them and the lines were dancing because I was hitting so many of them. I had a coho that had about 30 alewives in its belly. The fish look a lot healthier than last year. I think it was just a bad year a few years ago and they were stunted.
  13. GLF- If you have ever fished the bank in Ludington you would think that they like structure.
  14. That is a very accurate report! It is Ed Stell of the Encore that posts that one. Thanks for the update.
