I would talk to Dirty Dog, he's got he same boat and it's a fish catching machine
-
Me and Dave were actually talking about this yesterday and I agree with him I think we are in for bigger fish again this year (not necessarily more).
-
I'm interested in fishing this, the only question I have is is the entry fee due at the beginning of the season, or due you pay at each event. The reason I ask is because I have a very volatile work schedule and might not be able to make it to all the events even if I plan on them.

I have been thinking about doing something like this with mine for a while. I hate not being able to adjust the walker holders without tools. Thanks for sharing it.
-
Chrome Frog was good for me last year along with Chrome and Blue. White/bluebubble tape was also pretty good.
-
That is a lot of Liquid Crystal right there
-
what about using one of the bags they use for fish in bass tourneys? I don't have a fish box, but I can see your dilemma.
-
Keith, I have one also and I agree with Ken. I send it down when I first set up to find the thermocline. It is easy to use and has a 5 year warranty (though I don't think it includes loosing it overboard
)

Also, I see there's no rule 12. Let's make that "no fishing shrimp for steelies from an anchored boat."What is this shrimp thing you are talking about....
LIES
It was literally a laugh out loud moment for me when I read this

So to Dave's point Ken, if we are weighing 6, is it whatever 6 the boat chooses. I know last year we were doing DNR limits but that won't really work now. Also, What is the date for the B4K tournament this year?
-
I'm in again too Ken, hopefully we will have better weather this year
I do know I won't be able to make the third event because I will be in Colorado for a wedding.
Oh, and do you mean weigh 5 fish or are we increasing the number this year?
-
Terry, I might need to make the trip over to get my fishing fix for a while.
-
Thanks for sharing Cpt. John! I like all of them but the flat calm ones and the clouds in the July 14 one are really cool.
-
Bradley, where are you located. I haven't worked specifically on Cannons, but I have completely torn my Walkers down and I have a lot of general electrical/mechanical experience. If you are in the West Michigan area I would be willing to take a look at them.
-
Aaron, the outdoorsman usually has them in stock.
-
If you didn't snag our line and cut it off, then why do you have lead core wrapped around you downrigger ball and why can I see you trying to hide our j-plug with your hand? (uhm Dave, lol)

Sounds like it would work. The only potential issue I would see with it is that it will be "charging" the house battery whenever the main engine is running. I use my second battery to power all of my electronics, most of which say to run on a completely separate battery to eliminate interference from the motor ignition system. I have a manual switch that I use so I can charge the second battery while under power, but disengage it while fishing. Hopefully Frank will chime in so that we get a positive answer.

As people have said there is going to be blood. I try to clean it up most of the time for the reasons that other people have listed.
Going back to the banning kids from sites with gory pictures/videos. If that is to be the case, all kids should be banned from You Tube because you can find literally hundreds of gory prairie dog hunts on there.
There is one time on another forum that someone posted a video that I though was inappropriate. The video was taken on a fishing trip in Alaska and was soley of him beating a fish he had caught. Now I am all for having a billy club to knock fish out once they are caught. However, the video was of him hitting the fish numerous time after it was obviously dead and he was making it look like he enjoyed it. I agree, there is nothing wrong with killing a fish (or other animals for that matter), but you should not be trying to make it gorier than it has to be. As Kevin said, respect the animal.

I liked Dave's thread so I thought I would make my own.
Here's my Top 10
Spoons top to bottom are:
Regular DW Glow Yellowfin (hammered with silver back, I could only find glow back ones this year and they didn't work as well)
Mag Silver Streak Hot Lobster
Moonshine Mongolian Beef
Moonshine Raspberry Carbon
Big Lake Lures UV Mod Blue Veggie
Stinger Glow Wonderbread
Mag Sliver Streak U of M Frog
Flashers/Flies Top To Bottom are:
8" Glow Frog SD/ Yogurt Flies It-l-do
8" Chrome Blue Bubble/ Yogurt Flies Striper
11" Pro-Troll Glow Crush (Fishscale back)/ no name Mirage fly with blue/glow white beads
These lures were my most consistent of the season but others had their days so I have to include them.
Honorable Mentions are:
Top to Bottom:
Moonshine Flounder Pounder
Mag Silver Streak Green Splatter
Mag Silver Streak Blue Chilly Willy
Regular Silver Streak Glow Ludington Melon

matt, dave can correct me if I'm wrong but the green slush really stood out on sunny days on the 200 and 250 coppers. I remember one trip it took 4 steelhead in under an hour.
-
Will, I wouldn't bother with that ugly blue, red, and white one cause it only catches fish on scooby snacks or when dave is on board. Just saying
-
Merry Christmas Tony! Hopefully we'll see you at the Fishing show in GR this year again.

I was running a spoon behind a grease trap down at 100' at one point during the last WMFL tournament when I couldn't buy a bite
