    Battery cover connections?

Sent from my iPhone using Great Lakes Fisherman mobile app

that was a cut and paste from the USCG Aux web site,  but yes they will look at your batteries.

from what I understand is not to have the terminals connections exposed, so it limits the chance of dropping a metal object across the terminals and create a spark down in the engine compartment.

  3. Boat tags   -  Check

    Fishing license -  Check

Plus it's a good time to do a full safety review.

    • Life Jackets
    • Registration and numbering
    • Navigation lights
    • Ventilation
    • Fire extinguishers
    • Distress signals (flares, horn, etc.)
    • Battery cover and connections

The USCG Aux usually has a weekend in April when they will come dock side in Holland to preform a safety check and you get a nifty sticker for your window.

When I see a date I will post.

  4. I run a 32' wellcraft. It's an 87. You need to have the stringer's check. Mine were repaired already.   It take rough seas with no problem.   Really liked the living space below so it doubleshould as our cottage.     Rest of item's I had issues with are normal maintenance plugs wires cap rotor  transmission clutch plates.

  5. those are fun projects,  looks good Frank and will keep giving you years of service.

I re-powered a 79' Gravely back in 2001 - had the same things to deal with.  but when it's done you have a product that will out last the big box store sheet-metal toy tractors.

I still use mine, year around as I have the mower deck, snowblower, tiller, and power broom.
