    Why do people always say something about guys willing to stick to Lake Huron? Like it's taboo or something to fish there; not everyone wants to join the crowds on Lake Michigan. Good fish bud, Lake Huron is definitely not dead.....

    The vast majority of salmon in lakes Michigan and Huron move to the southern portion for the winter. Thats why the bite starts in the far southern areas first(shortly after ice out), and goes progressively north as the summer wanes on into fall. The salmon follow the bait, which spreads out after the temps set up. They just eat all summer and gradually, as they feel the urge, move towards the rivers they're planted or hatched in.

    Thanks man, seems pretty civil here. Sucks I'm not much for big lake help, but there is a stream section.

    It wasn't lake MI, but my Dad used to let me skip school and go steelheading on the Au Sable.
