  1. I was wondering if fisherman can predict when the salmon will run up various rivers? Is it the moon phase?decrease in daylight hours? water temp in the rivers?all of the above? And why do they tend to run earlier in the farther north rivers like the mannistee or the PM when the water temps are close to that in the south like the st.joe? I fish out of St. Joe and its been spotty all year. I would like to be able to plan a trip there when their about to run.
  2. heard something about you could now buy a 24 hour licencse 24/7 with your cell phone if you have internet access and a credit card. I think they put it in the data base and if the c.o. checks you they just radio in to see if you bought one. Anyone else heard about that?
  3. I made mine out of galvinized fence post, painted them, and used plastic dip for the end caps. works great for a faction of the price of aluminum,
  4. how much line do you let out behind your slide diver if your running it between your full core and your wire dipsey diver? I am running it on braided line and would like to keep the hor/vertical V look, lets say were running 45-65ft down. How do you figure out how far back your lures are behind the boat on your divers to keep the spread look even with you lead cores?
  5. glad its done, I diddnt like driving through the hood last year after dark
  6. got a couple old slide divers at a garage sale the other day, any way to replace the rubber line stops on them? Im planning on using them with braided line.
  7. I run the walleye boards too. and rig then so they dont release to slide down to my lure. remember to put your shallowest line the farthest away from th boat and your deepest line the closest to the boat. start with one or two per side to learn how to let them out and reel them in to change lures. oh, you will get them tangled, everybody does and its a big rats nest . good luck!!
  8. I'm thinking of working all weekend and taking monday and tuesday off, Thats when calm, sunny days are this year. Unless you like small craft advisory

How do you get smelly, rotting, nasty fish goo out of auto carpet? went out of manistee this weenend, trolled four hours in the afternoon with out a bite until the sun set ,then we got six in about half an hour, with four on at one time.well it was well after dark when we got in to clean our fish. and when we put the cooler in the back of the suburban it leaked fish spoo on the carpet. well we all went to bed that night without a clue, and the next day we never drove the truck.
