  1. It is hard to beat Canada deer hunting. The 11 point I shot this year dressed out at 210 lbs. I got just about 70 lbs of boned meat. There are more wolves in Canada than Michigan, but the deer are bigger and for the most part can fend them off. Plus you can shoot wolves in that part of Canada.

  2. I learned the rod down technique while river fishing for iron noggins and bass fishing tournaments. Keeping the rod down adds up to more fish in the net.

Sometimes on the boat salmon or walleye fishing it just is not possible, depending on rod holder or rigger placement on the boat and what rod happens to have the fish on it.

  3. Most people troll in less than 14 fow. So getting down to em isn't a problem. When they are shallow like that they are there for one reason and one reason only....to put the feed bag on. When they are shallow they are feeding, normally pretty aggressively. If they want to eat your bait they will come up to it.

    I would concentrate on #12 and #14 Husky's.

  4. There are two different answers for your question. And they both have been applied here. Adam and Frank are spot on when trolling big water. Ken on the other hand is talking inland lakes, and he is also spot on.

This can be the results... We kept 7 walleye and 1 pike. Put back a 8 lb 8 oz eye for another day. This pic is the fish in my salmon cooler....

  5. I haven't heard anything about the moose lately. Did the wolves eat all of them first ?

Our deer managers have been way off for years. Used to be the state to go deer hunting in.....not any more. Heck I see more deer in Canada.
