Welcome to GLF!

I use an iPad on the boat with the navionics app, and it works great. The only downsides I have is it is not as easy to mark locations, and if your in direct sunlight it can be hard to see. Under the hardtop it is not a problem. I have a lifeproof case for dealing moisture. As far as gps location it is not a problem, you do not need to be connected to anything to receive gps location. Majority of the time I have my iPad in airplane mode, and never lose location even under the hardtop.

My guess is that 16 will be similar to 15, maybe slightly worse. One thing I noticed this year is about half the Kings we were catching were natural reproduction from Michigan and when they headed back across the lake to start staging the king bite really slowed in Kewaunee for us.

Nice job Simon, the bank sure can be a zoo! Being able to find fish away from the pack is priceless!

I have been running torpedo divers after the copper to get more depth. If I want to run my 150 copper to the same depth as a 350 copper I put on a shark torpedo diver and send out another 150', then put the board on. For me that would be a much better option than sectioning.

There are no dumb questions. The wire is going to be used mostly for divers... You could use it like core or copper but your not going to get much out of it for depth. Wire divers are my favorite rigs on the boat! Hope this helps, let us know if you have any more questions.

I put the Navionics app on my phone and it works great.

I ran across this knot and I was wondering if anyone has ever used this knot for copper. I gave it a try today with copper and it seemed to work pretty good, and the copper doesn't get doubled over so the splice is nice and small. I also tried it with mono and fluorocarbon and it didn't wrap up quite as nice but I think it will work as well.

I will probably make it there.
