Good job, Was a bit bumpy out there.

Fished out maiden voyage this morning, Set lines around 7 and finished at 12.
Went 25 for 27 having to throw fish back. Worked 170 to 220 all day. Had a couple doubles and even landed our first double on the same rod. We were done but could not get the lines out before some more fish decided to grab on. One hammered the port dipsey that took 25 minutes to get in.

We were casting stick baits into the shallows, trolling works to but it was hard in the wind.

Windy and rainy last night. Fished from 6 to 12 and managed two decent walleye.

I was wondering before I tear anything apart. My shift/throttle control is really stiff and the handle is loose. Is there a fix for this? Do I need to replace the shift/control? The boat is a 1985 Four Winns. What information do I need to get the right one? Thanks for your replies.

I will be also tearing the floor up on my boat. It is soft in spots and I want to fix it. It is a 85 four winns, so it could become quite the project once I get in there.

Well first, not sure why you tie your copper to a swivel. Just tie it directly to the mono backing then add your leader of about 30ft. I think the knot I use a allbright. No messing around with shrink tube and I have never had one come apart.
As for the wire if it is a wire dipsy I tie directly to the swivel, loop it thru with a overhand knot, There are some pics on the site that show you how to.
Hope this helps.

Same as all, took a four man limit Sunday, Stinger spoons were the hot ticket for us. Like most say just about anything, at one point in the wind our dipseys were pretty much sitting still and jiggin and still catchin fish.
Dispeys took most of our hits with spoons.

I like to run allot of backer on my reels to get them away from the boat, My 45s I have a 150 and 225 45lb copper. My 55 I have 300, you could probably go more like say a 400 and still be good.
