  1. Thanks Paul, but I think I mis-spoke. The pump runs but only when I press the tilt/trim switch, not continuously. Sorry about that. After reading some topics on-line regarding this problem it may be just that it is low on fluid, and has locked up due to insufficient pressure. Anyone have any advice on that? Thanks. Chris
  2. Hey all, if this is posted in the wrong place feel free to move it. I have a 2000 Yamaha 100 hp four stroke with power tilt on my boat. Last night after fishing I put it all the way up to pull it out of the water. When I went to lower it it remained stuck in the up position. I can hear the pump running, but it won't come down. Any ideas on how to fix? Don't know what I'm gonna do, can't go fishing. Starting to get the shakes. Thanks all for any help. Chris
  3. I'll stick w/the 12's. Thanks all. Chris
  4. Evening all, Can anyone tell me what the cannonball weight limit is on the Big Jon Silver Capt's Pak riggers? I would like to put on some more weight on my deeper runs this year and don't want to put to much stress on the rigs. I'm not talking anything monstrous, maybe something up in the 14 or 15 lb. range. Thanks all, Chris
  5. Just like 1Maniac said, a fourteen footer will get it done. A couple of rod holders and some manual riggers and you are good to go. Just use your head when it comes to weather and you'll be fine. I see fourteen footers all the time around Manistee, especially in between the piers. Good luck Dan. Chris
  6. If anyone has any rod/reel combos that would be suitable for setting up with a ten color rig let me know. I am looking to expand my set up. Thanks, Chris
  7. I ordered the smaller one; approximately 12 inches in length. But I believe that they have all types of sizes, and colors available. I ordered a pair and he quoted me about 20 bucks. I haven't gotten the "official bill" yet though.
  8. Nice job Rich, I'm sure this wasn't easy. Just about got the boat ready and the tent packed for the trip. Looking forward to meeting everyone at the campground/launch. Chris
  9. Seven and fourteen pounds approximately. A good friend got a couple 15 plus yesterday, and I've heard other reports of occasional good sized fish. I wish I could get out more, but I gotta pay the bills. Chris
  10. Three for four today out in 120 fow. Two kings, one steelie and lost one nice steelhead that got tangled in the line and finally came free. One king on a carmel dolphin on a rigger 55 down. Everything else on a half core loaded with a mixed veggie. A little slow, but I heard a lot of boats coming in with empty boxes. Good luck out there. Chris
  11. My crew and I are coming down for the Dreamweaver challenge (ducking water balloons likely the whole way. I'm looking for info on where to bunk down the night before. Indoors, outdoors, no doors, doesn't matter. Thanks much. Also, as we have never fished the area anyone willing to share any little pieces of experience would be greatly appreciated. Well, I had to ask didn't I? Thanks all, looking forward to seeing you all down there. Chris
  12. Looks like a fishing boat to me. Very nice.
  13. Avast ye, and arrrgghhhh and all that other stuff. I'm lmao:lol:. I'm thinking that we may have to go to the dark side on this. Fight fire with fire I always say. I may have to rig something up on my man o' war to do just that. A planer mast that doubles as a cannon may just do the trick. I guess I could always go back to the mask, fins and a hand drill. Be prepared;)!!! By the way, that water cannon in the video is AWESOME!! Chris
  14. Thanks captain for the warning. I'll have three other State Troopers on my boat with me, so we may have a surprise for you also. I'm sure I can fashion a brig out of something. See you in Muskegon, Chris
  15. GLF, thanks much for the phone digits. I called them up and spoke to Terry and Rob and got some ordered. Very nice people, and great customer service. Thanks again, Chris
  16. I believe you are likely correct. I went back and read my post and it read like I was angry and bashing them. I didn't mean to make it come off that way, and I apologize. Chris
  17. Maybe someone can help me out here. I've been wanting to get a couple Stinger decals for my boat for some time, but can't seem to find them. I emailed Stinger and never got a reply either way (kind of surprised me that they blew me off). Does anyone here know where I could pick some up, or are they only for pro-staff? Thanks all, Chris
  18. P.S. There are no right or wrong answers.
  19. Ok, just for fun here. There are three questions to follow. Answer them with the first thing that comes to your mind. No "well maybe", or "if I think about it". Has to be first in your mind. Maybe we'll learn something about ourselves. 1. Best lure (anything) 2. Favorite Port to fish (anywhere) 3. Favorite person to fish with (anyone) Mine were Stinger NBK in stingray, Onekama and with my daughter. Have fun, Chris

    My Rig

Fished the barrel out of Onekama tonight and picked up one King on a half core with a NBK. Still pretty slow. It was nice having the trap net set right in my favorite spot to troll. Marked fish all around it, and no where else. Just brings a big happy smile to my face every time I see it out there.

    My Rig

Very slow. Can't say I'm not a little apprehensive about going out into a mine field of nets, marked and unmarked. Some kings have been showing up deeper. Browns were almost non-existent in my opinion. But as we all know it's early. I'm heading out this evening out of Onekama and I'll post if I catch anything. Chris
