We got out Sat. at 6:30 and fished till 10 am and picked up 13 Eyes! I bet we set the record on White Bass. For the first 2 hours it was 5 to 1 on bass to eyes!! I ran Frankenberry, Green Monkey Puke, and Chicken wing in the morning. Then whatever we went to after the sun got high in the sky, they bit on. I would have had a 4 man limit, but my brother, (who doesnt fish!! ) Came to visit from Chicago so dad made us wrap it up early! All of the eyes came in 16 to 18 ft of water. i was running a mini disc at 105ft, at 1.8 to 2.2 knots. We went out of Bolles and headed to the south. Fished in front of Toledo beach, and the Onion can

I run my spin doctor/fly rig down the chute and go from there. Its easy and fast to get out. We had a fish in the boat on that before i had everything else out, in the St. Joe Tournament

looks like the north side of big sable point

Also, every time you go to a resturant, grab some tooth picks. You will find a use for them with the twinkie rigs. Nail clippers work good to trim them when you pin the herring.

Nice thread Steve. Now everyone should be able to run it, and catch fish!

count me in ill let you guys finish behind me this time

a friend of mine, who is a charter told me that it cost him $350.00 a day, thats before he turns the key on the boat. Thats insurance, slip fees, boat maint. and fuel.

We came in right behind Team Fishdog! It must have been the banana that we didnt find until today!
We ran to the north also, and dropped lines at 105'. We popped a nice coho right away on a spin doctor and fly down the chute. About ten minutes later we picked another one up on a cut rig. We then caught a nice laker on a Michael Jackson spoon on the bottom. The fishing died off there so we opted to run to 85'. We boxed another on a dipsy and a cut rig. We then proceded to loose the next three. We had alot of fun with the guys at barneys talking stratagy! We' ll get em next time

we used some new cut rigs from steve in the tourney on sat and they produced 2 fish, i ran one clean and one off a dipsy

I fished Friday and ran south, to Turtle Island. I fished in 10 to 12 feet trolling black and gold, and blue and chartruse shad raps.We went 10 for 10. The water was 2-3 ft and overcast with some rain. I fished a walleye tournament on Sat., and went to the same place. The people jigging were not catching any. I made three passes and didnt hit anything, so i ran to Little Cedar Point and changed lures. We came in second, with three fish. I switched to stingers on the riggers. I was running the ball on the bottom, pulling M.J. and O.J spoons. The winning team had 3 also, got beat out by 4 ounces. The weather was sunny and calm. Soon the bite will be on. Next stop St. Joe on the 29th!

If you want more information, give me a call at 734-260-5289, thanks Eric

Do you get a better reading from your speed/ temp sensor on coated wire?
-
can they be split to use on a bigger boat without the mast?
-
what does the insurance cost a year to run a charter?
-
so you run the wire to a dipsey, then do you run a wire leader to the spoon?
-
What are some of the temp. zones to fish in, that the fish are more active? Do you want to run your spread right above the temp. break or just inside it?

We fished Lake Erie out of Luna pier on Friday, and had our limit of Eyes in 2 hrs. I ran jr. streaks on lil disc 80 ft back. Anything in a copper color was good.
On Sat for the Tourney we ran to Breast Bay, then back to the south where we fished on Fri. We only put 2 in the boat, So our good friend told us to come back to breast bay, and we got our limit in about 2 hrs trolling spoons there also.
We went out today, and ran back to Breast Bay. We fished 25' of water, and had 19 eyes in 4 hrs. Had to work for them today. When the sun was out skittles was good. When it got cloudy oj, and blueberry muffin worked
Keep the tip up!!
