  1. Just a quick note. Riggers is closed bring your own lunch. Beer still cold in the frig but the boat is still in the barn. I hope to get it in so that I get down to Manistee for Tight Lines.
  2. I think you are wrong about the slot limit in area MM-5. There is no minimum limit in this area. You can keep any fish up to 23." None between 23" and 34" and one over 34" This is the way I have always understood the rule. I fish out of Arcadia, our rule is it must be over 20" We have never been sure if the rule applies on the lake or at the dock. Since I have never had my fish checked on the lake, I tend to think that if you caught a 25" fish north and brought it to Arcadia to the dock you would be safe. The same fish caught south of Arcadia and taken to Frankfort would get you in touble.
  3. I tried this out last month. It is the best. We didn't have a filet so I subed a pint jar of canned salmon and it worked great. My wife even liked it and she claims to not like fish. Bruce
  4. I have been hearing for years that the smaller boats can't compete. Now I have a 30' boat that will handle any waves but it isn't nearly as fast as the smaller boats. Maybe they need a division with a speed restriction. I see no need for this division. I think that a requirement that someone who has won a couple of times should fish the Pro side makes more sense. 5. We will be fishing the MCSFA Tournament in Manistee, for the 14th time. Maybe 14 will be the charm. Bruce
  6. Jason, The cost will vary. I would suggest that you call around, a good marina will be able to give you a price. I can't tell you what they charge me, it is included in the storage fee. The good thing about it is if they mess up and engine cracks or get damaged, they repair it at their cost. I have stored at Arcadia Marine for over 20 years and this has never happened to any of the three boats I have owned. Bruce
  7. The Three Bucks went into the barn Sunday. I changed the oil in both motors about two weeks ago. I like to wait until this time of year or it will be put in the back of the barn and I won't be able to get it out until June. I store it at Arcadia Marine in Arcadia they wash the bottom and winterize the engines. I am afraid that I am going to have to paint the bottom next spring, not my favorite job. I know that next year all my buddies will show up to help get her ready for the season LOL. Bruce
