It's a vn fish. It looks like it's getting dark already.

Dave GJ getting the skunk out.

Casey, GJ out of my favorite Lake MI port.

I like to keep the chute clear. If you happen to hit multiple fish with that core down the chute chances are that core will get tangled. This is especially important in low light conditions when it tough to see just what is going on as a fish makes a run.

Kyle, GJ man.

Brian, It looks good. How many yds. of backer is on it?
Big Kings sometimes make big runs.

Find out what they want and give em lots of it.

Dennis GJ on the other side of Huron.

Luke, GJ man. Keep hammering them.

we have been running a slider on our SWR and its been working great. I would say our SWR catches about 2 to 1 compared to our other rigger
I'm curious how you do this. It seems to me that it would be an extremely long slide before the fish on a slider could reach the end and be into the rod. My other concern was the slide down the core and possible damage to it. If anything special needs to be done let us know. I learn something new every day. Thanks

In the early 70s a big foot supposedly was taking clothes off a guys clothes line at night up by Hughes swamp and as teenagers back then some of us guys were actively hunting him until we came really close to shooting a black angus cow in the spot light at 3 in the morning. There were a few other things involved that could have slightly impaired our judgement. We still joke about hunting the big guy.
GJ on the bay and a warm welcome to the GLF site. I'm not sure I want to party with ya after that post. Maybe it's because I have big feet.

GL in Frankfort. It's my second favorite Lake MI port.

Kevin, She's lookin good.

Jerry, Thanks for the report. I have been out of the action due to an injury. There are still good numbers of fish being taken shallow and deep. This time of year the in between water usually is sparse picking. If you hit the shallows do it early.

I fished 8 hours yesterday for one 18" eye, so I salute you.
We started on the pencil buoys, marked fish but no luck, so we moved over to the black hole. Ran it once with mostly meat and one hotntot. Was gonna give it up until caught the keeper on the northeast corner just off the hole on the hotntot. Swung down and ran it again with cranks, still nothin. Thought about headin to the shallow water, but with the heat went for the deeper stuff north of the spark plug but still struck out. Like you tried different speeds, colors, depths, cranks . . . tough day.
Waves picked up and made the trip home slow. Nice sunset.
Paul, A warm welcome to the GLF site. If you get a chance go to the welcome forum and introduce yourself. You will like it here. I fish the bay mostly out of AuGres.

Kris, GJ and thanks for the report.

I only have two riggers and sometimes I stack them. Would I run into troubl if I ran a line above a swr?
I have never stacked above a SWR but in theory it's probably possible. I would NEVER run a slider on a SWR.

What is a swr? Sorry my first year salmon fishing, so I want to learn all I can. Thanks
SWR=Secret Weapon Rig. It's described above.
