  1. Fished PS again this morning. Ran to 180 and started on a SW troll. First hour was busy. We landed 2 trout and lost 4 mature salmon. Bites came 70-100 down: white fishscale Protroll w meat, Kevin’s mistress, MS bad toad. Only had two more bites after 7:00, but finally my son’s college friend finally landed an adult salmon. He was 0-8 over the past 2 days. Ended 3-7, 2 LT and 1 14# king.

  2. We also fished PS this morning. Started a little north in 95 FOW and trolled to 230. Lost a fish in 155. Start marking bait in 190 and hit a triple in 210. Ended 3-9, all salmon (4#, 7#, and 28#). Lost several other big fish. White fishscale Protroll w meat in a low diver out 200 went two times, MS 5 eyes on a 400 went twice and Kevin’s Mistress SD on a high diver at 300 went twice.

  5. Ended being a short trip this morning. Rolled the dice and ran offshore. Started in 235, and trolled to 255. By that time my wife was turning green and we headed to the dock. Caught a 8# SH in 245 down 90 on a white dew Protroll w a hypnotist fly. Marked fish consistently from 75-110 down.

  6. Two skunk trips...that sucks. How was Holland's king run last year?

Saugatuck and Holland haven’t had a “run” in several years. Guys will catch a couple fish around the piers in the fall but nothing like years past. There just aren’t enough fish planted to return in any numbers.

  7. Slow morning, started in 125 FOW and trolled west to 195; no bites. On the in trolled we caught a 5#LT on a dragon slayer SD and missed a bite on a white slick SD on a diver out 375. Trolled back to 180. On the second in trolled we lost a big king on a white blue bubble SD out 250 on a diver. Trolled into 120-105 where other boats were fishing. Never marked a fish inside 140FOW; 150-170 looked the best.

  8. Good fishing off of Port Sheldon this morning. Fished 6:00-11:00 a little north of the stacks in 130-200 FOW. Finished 8/12 with 3 adult kings, 2 smaller kings, 2 coho and 1 LT. All but 1 fish came behind a white flasher. Most bites were on Oceana or No-See-Um flies. Two fish came on meat rigs behind a white crush 10” SD. Riggers at 85 and 110, and divers at 350 and 250 were good. Very few biting flies- so nice.

  9. Fished PS 6:00-9:00. Started a little north in 120 FOW, marked fish in the bottom 15 ft, but had no bites. Trolled west, first bite in 165. Worked 165-185 and had fish on consistently until 8:00. Caught 6 salmon and 1 LT. Lost 4 and missed 1. All fish were on flashers and flies, DRs at 105 and 125, divers at 350 and 250. Chrome flashers with green flies and white flashers with blue flies were the best. This morning’s sunrise was spectacular!

  13. First time out in a couple of weeks, dock to dock 3:30-6:30. Started in 90 FOW and trolled to 120. Marked schools of bait both suspended and on bottom. Worked south in 95-115 for an hour with no bites. Marked quite a bit of bait and a few fish. Turned west. Very few marks beyond 120 FOW. Caught a nice coho (6#) in 165 FOW on a mixed veggie UV Stingray. Pulled lines in 170 FOW. The flies were much more active than the fish.
