  1. Fished again 7/3. Set lines at 6:30 and headed in at 9:30. Set in 80FOW up by M45; worked out to 140 then back into 75 as we trolled back towards PS. Had a good rip on a diver w a 10” white dbl crush SD and meat in 122FOW and caught an adult king in 78 FOW on a UV blue dolphin Stingray. There were many boats out and radio chatter sounded like fishing was slow.

  2. Fish for a couple of hours out of Port Sheldon this morning. Starting 75 FOW. Worked 75-90 for over an hour. Marked lots of bait and a few fish. Slid out and marked fish 125-140 FOW. Caught a 15# king on a NBK Stingray in 135FOW and a 8# coho on a MS mag 5 eyes in 132FOW. Beautiful morning on the lake.

  3. When fishing steelhead offshore in fall down temperatures aren’t as important as they are the rest of the season. At this time you can find some areas where the surface temp is 1-3 degrees cooler and the steelhead will be in those areas. You can cover a lot of water and suddenly stumble into an area hold fish. The fish out deep are usually feeding on small bait that usually marks in small schools in the top 50.

  4. Fished solo out of PS. Set line on 85 FOW and trolled to 140. Caught 4 on out pass, 1 LT, 2 immature kings and a small coho. Caught another small coho just before 9 and headed to the dock. All bites 125-140 FOW, 40-65 down. White ProTrolls with no-see-um and hypnotist flies and a blue dolphin Stingray were best. Ended 5/6.

  5. Fish PS last night 7-10 dock to dock. 2 bites, 2 fish for a total of about 5 pounds. Started in 100 FOW. Trolled SW to 150 and back. Both bites came in the 130s; 300 CU mag MS blue hulk (2# coho) and 400 CU NBK Stingray (3# LT). Saw some big schools of bait but few individual fish.

  6. Fished PS again this morning. Ran to 180 and started on a SW troll. First hour was busy. We landed 2 trout and lost 4 mature salmon. Bites came 70-100 down: white fishscale Protroll w meat, Kevin’s mistress, MS bad toad. Only had two more bites after 7:00, but finally my son’s college friend finally landed an adult salmon. He was 0-8 over the past 2 days. Ended 3-7, 2 LT and 1 14# king.
