  1.

We fished from 6 to 10:30 from 160 to 210 fow and ended up 2 for 3 with a 14# and almost 27# king, all right around 190. Sorry if you're the boat we got awkwardly close to, the second king crossed three other lines and was causing a rats nest tangle so we had to click it in neutral. Here's what took the hits:

  2. We fished from 6:30 to 10 am then the fog chased us off. Despite a break off and a downrigger going out if commission we ended up 2 for 3 with a 17# and 21# king, all three hits in 160 fow. Here's what took the hits:

1-2 mixed veggies spindoctor with a SpongeBob meat rig behind 300 copper

1-1 into mischief Oki paddle and meat rig on a downrigger 85 ft down PXL_20210523_105715702.jpegPXL_20210523_123701828.jpeg

  3. We trolled from 7:30 to 11:30 am, started in 210 fow and trolled out to 250 then back to 210. Ended up 2 for 3 with a 13 lb king and 2 lb coho. Every hit came in 240 ft. I've never seen an alewife so big in a small coho's belly. Here what took the hits:

1-2 mixed veggies spindoctor with a SpongeBob meat rig on 300 copper

1-1 orange and white pro king spoon

  4. It's good to see there are still some browns in our area

Fished PS 7:30-10:00. Made a hard left at the piers and trolled the beach towards Holland. Missed a bite on a black tuxedo Stinger, then caught a double; 9# brown on a gator Warrior flutter spoon and a 6# salmon on a 5 eyes Moonshine. Made a couple more passes through the same spot w/o another bite. Ended 2/3. IMG_1493.thumb.JPG.cf71c5b9a9dad67564d70a9fd95a01da.JPG

  6. We trolled from 6-10 am and went 1 for 5 with a 6# coho. The first four hits all came in a row in about 135 ft at first light then another one in 190 ft right before we left. Here's what took the hits:

2 - green fly behind a green hulk spindoctor on a downrigger 95 ft down

3 - chartreuse musslehead meat rig behind a chartreuse atommik 11 in paddle on a downrigger 110 down

  7. We trolled from 6 to 11 am in 130-150 fow and went 0-3. We marked a lot of bait but there didn't seem to be many fish around it. All three hits came on a live wire spindoctor with a green spin n glo 110 ft down on a downrigger. It was frustrating considering all the good reports we've seen but it was probably just too nice out to get into them (we get that a lot when it's calm). Also a heads up there's a big arse tree trunk floating around 60 fow just south of Holland, someone already flagged it, you don't see much of it but it's big.MVIMG_20200705_104525.jpeg

  8. Haven't been out much with all this Covid-19 fallout keeping me at work but I finally got out Sunday morning. We trolled around from 7 to 11 am around 130 ft the whole time. We ended up 2 for 3 with two Lakers 1# and 4# and had probably a king break off. Saw some promising suspended marks but no takers mid column. After about 9 we slowed our troll from 2.4 to 1.7 mph and that's when we got all three hits. Can't wait for this midsummer funk to be done. Here's what took the hits:

2-2 live wire spindoctor with a green spin n glo 110 down on a downrigger

0-1 blue jeans paddle with a blue fly on 200 copper

  9. Trolled from about 6:30 to 9 right around 150 feet then got blown off the lake in my small 18 footer. I ended up 1 for 1 with a 22# king. Probably my most victorious 1 for considering I couldn't reach my desired depth with the waves and had my outing cut short. She hit a SpongeBob meat rig behind a mixed veggies spindoctor on 300 copper.IMG_20190816_083028.jpeg
