Nice job on the gators Luke.

Hit the north spot today. Went out to the deeper water first thing this morning, started slow got one lost one in the first hour decided to move in a little closer nothing doing. Made another move towards Pt AuGres just outside the nets for the last hour, got into them pretty steady but had a lot of shakers that would just spit the hook. My buddy lost a nice one at the back of the boat and we ended up with three in the box. It doesn't sound like much but at one time we would just get one line out and the next one would go. If we could have stayed a little longer we would have done much better. One of the nicer fish had eggs in her yet and they were hard kinda weird. Pinks, green wite and hot pink, and greasy chicken wing were the best colors. We used two ounce in lines 80-100 feet back. The better fishing was in 30-35 fow for us. It got pretty rough out there this afternoon. Shooting for next weekend again.

Good job Luke. If I can't get any one to go Friday, I might be headed your way with the little boat.

You're that far might as well finish the job. Probably won't ever have to do it again.

You can launch out of Thomas unless you have a season pass. I don't know about Sunset, but Quincasee's launch isn't too bad just make sure you follow the channel markers out.

Tried to fish the bay this morning. It was a little rougher than I expected, but we went out any way. The water is nasty by the mouth really dirty and warm. The dirty water was 10* warmer than the cleaner water out front of Linwood. We tried from 19-13 fow with out even a strike and only marked about 10 fish. Visibility was about 1.5 ft not very good conditions. Talked to a guy at the ramp and they had similar results and they fish Pinny, the 47's and the sailboat bouys. It did lay down about the time we came in. We only fished tot's and stick baits because we forgot the crawlers in the truck :bonk: . The temp in front of Linwood was 57*- 59* and the temp at the mouth was 68*. Oh well we'll try it again next week.

I went to Quincasee this morning, got there around 6:15 am and was the first vehicle in the lot. Went out to 13 fow and started to troll with the wind. Water had a kind of green tint to it a lot a bait fish on the graph but not a lot of fish. Got one huge sheep head and that was it. There were about 8 boats out there and the only time I got wet was when I was goiong out and the spray from the waves got me. I was in my little boat so whenit started to blow up I had to leave. The water temp was 62*-63* visibility was about 2 ft. I used harnesses and tried a couple of Deep Lil' Rippers.

Did you clean the cable on the starter side?

That looks like a good sign for sure. Nice fish.

You have to have a season pass to launch out of Thomas Rd Marina. They started that last season.

I had a couple of the the plastic ones, and the problem with those are if you hit the throttle too hard in reverse it will chew up the plate. The other issue I had was the springs weren't stiff enough, the plate would not slow me down enough and I found out the plate was creeping up, so I went back to the Happy Troller. With the lastest boat I got I'm going to try a single bag off the transom, we will see how that works.
