  1. It will probably change soon, but if you're going out again soon try fishing in closer.  Fish have been shallower - 60-100 fow. 35-55 ft down .

This is the program that worked for us Sunday morning in Port Sheldon, outside of 110FOW was dead. Did most of our damage in 90-110FOW, blue green dolphin and RV Wonderbread were best. Riggers 40-50ft down and 30-50ft back, and 200-250 coppers took our fish. Was on the water from 6-10am with six rods and finished 5/6 all kings.

Regretfully looking to sell my baby of the last 4 seasons as I'm planning on going bigger next season and put something in a slip (at the request of the boss). This has been an awesome rig and an absolute joy to fish out of especially since repowering and adding all new electronics within the last year. Highlights include a Garmin 8212 touchscreen unit with 1000kw Chirp transducer, chirp down scan, chirp side scan, Reactor autopilot integrated with unit and upgraded mapping card with Autoguidance capability. Brand new Fusion radio with blue tooth, Coastal night lights blue/white underwater transom lights, Fishhawk X4 and Lenco electric trim tabs. All rod holders and downriggers are included, one of the Cannon 10STX was just replaced brand new by Cannon on warranty in July 2018. The motor was rigged in February 2018 and included digital throttle control at the press of a button on the gauges for speed control at trolling speeds. Fuel burn numbers are .4-.6gph at trolling speeds, 3.4-3.6mpg at 32mph cruise, and 2.4-2.6mpg at 42mph top end (I've seen 45mph with a light load and a small tail wind on calm water). This thing fishes big and trailers easily with a half ton truck. I have some on the water videos of the motor, trolling mode, and boat layout (while fighting fish) from early August and will share with anyone seriously interested so you can see the rig in action.

It is located in Grand Haven, MI and available to view, water test, and/or survey until the snow flies. Asking $38,000. Don't hesitate to contact me @ 616-five one four-8640 with any questions, thanks!

  3. Beautiful evening so just had to hit the water with the gf. Decided to take her pup who has never been on a boat before to see how he’d do. Things were going very well there so we threw a few lines in the water to see what we could find. Had lines in from 6:30-9:30pm and finished 6/7. Yellow jeans flasher with yellow dot spin n glow was 4/5 on rigger on bottom, all trout. Blue chrome 8” spinnie with blue bubble fly on 300 copper took a 20lb king and a 250 copper with UV Blue Dolphin stingray took a 6lb king. The kings came on a double header around 8:30pm. 120-140fow was best and they wanted it slow 2.1-2.3 at the ball, SW and NE trolls. Good number of bait bails in the top 40ft in that area of the water.

  4. If it’s a Big Bird painted orange or an orange Zboard, both would have a Sam’s pro release on the front and either a church lockjaw or red OR19 clip on the back, then it’s probably mine. I lost 2 on Saturday morning, complete fluke haven’t lost one in over a year. Let me know if that is what you found, Kevin @ 616-514-8640. Thanks!

  5. I left a large soft cooler, grey in color with a black top and a couple of sweatshirts on the ground next to my boat tonight and took off without them at the Grand Haven launch. This was around 10pm or so. By the time I realized and made it back to the launch an hour later they were gone. If anyone on here was there and grabbed them hoping to return them please let me know. I just bought the cooler 5 days ago, not a fun way to end the night after a stellar evening of fishing.

  6. Fishing out of Grand Haven tomorrow (5/19) morning and have 3-4 open seats otherwise I plan on going solo. I have all the gear needed and don't want gas money but would welcome anyone that wants to get out on the lake. Bring your own food/drinks, fishing from 6/6:30 until noon or so depending on the fishing and weather, launching from the Grand Haven municipal launch on Coho Dr. Pictured is the boat and a few fish we've found this week. The boat is fully rigged with a brand new Yamaha outboard and all necessary safety equipment and electronics including autopilot. Shoot me a message if you're interested in joining.... 616-514-8640

  8. Ok I will try those releases. It's hard to drive a small boat and rig stuff on your own. I need to bring a helper with me.

That's probably your problem, if you don't have autopilot having someone on the wheel at all times is a must. Before buying a bigger boat we used to fish 9 lines off a 16' Tin Can with a 5' beam no problem, just gotta keep it straight and gentle on the turns until you get a better sense for how sharply you can turn without tangling. Happy to help if you post pictures of your rig like JD stated.
