  1. Started fishing at 9am and quit at 2:30 pm. Motored out to 80FOW and started trolling west. Marked fish but no bites until we got out to 170FOW. Turned around and headed east at 200FOW. Pulled lines at 100FOW. Ended up 3 for 5 with 1 steelhead, 1 king and 1 laker. All the fish came on downriggers with spoons set at 55 feet. No hits on the half core or dipseys.
  2. Fished from 8am to 1pm. Started in 80FOW and worked out to 125FOW and back. Marked some fish in 80 FOW and nothing out at 125FOW. Did not not get one hit for the day.
  3. Skipped the family picnic to get fishing for the first time. Set lines at 4PM in 110 FOW and marked bait and fish. Fished between 110 and 125FOW, pulled lines at 8PM with five fish in the box. All the fish were kings with the largest at 15lbs. All fish were caught on downriggers set at 110 feet. Two were on pro king black and purple ladder back and 3 on a moonshine ladder back. A good start for the year but I will have to make up the family event.
  4. Left the dock at 8:00am only to run into a thunderstorm. Turned around and went back to the dock. By 9:30am the storm had passed and we headed out again. Quit fishing at 2:00pm, got too hot. Fished in 70 to 90 FOW and ended up 2 for 3. Both Kings, one about 7 pounds and the other about 14 lbs. One came on a dipsy 150 back on 2 with a dodger and echip squid. The second came on a rigger with a spoon 55 ft down.
  5. Left the dock at 9:00am and motored out to 95 FOW. Turned north and hooked a nice laker before all the poles were down. It came on a moonshine spoon on a rigger set at 60 feet. Too big to eat so we released it. Continued to troll north and work between 85 and 90 FOW. Ended up with 3 kings from 15 to 12 lbs. All of them came on dipsys set at 2, 150 out with a chrome dodger with a squid. Back to the dock at 2:00pm
  6. Started fishing a 6:00pm in 85 FOW. Worked between the 65 FOW and 85FOW and ended up 3 for 3. All fish were kings between 12 and 6 lbs. First fish came at 7:00pm on a rigger 50 feet down on a blue dolphin. The next two came at 9:00pm on riggers set at 45 feet on moonshine spoons. Temperature break was at 45 feet, 80 degrees to 50 degrees.
  7. Made a day of it and perch fished in the morning and then trolled in the afternoon. Ended up with 20 perch and went 4 for 5 in the afternoon. Fished in 90 to 100 FOW with 1 laker, 2 cohos and 1 steelhead. Three of the fish were caught on a rigger 55 feet down with a red and silver bj special. One coho came on a dipsey with a MD spin doctor/bloody nose fly set at 2 and out 160 feet.
  8. Set lines at 5:00pm in 75 FOW. Started to mark bait and fish in 80 FOW so I stayed in 75 to 85 FOW. Ended up 1 for 5 with 3 fish lost at the boat. This was the first time out so I was a lot of rusty. Fished only with the riggers set at 40 to 60 feet. All of the hits were in the 40-50 foot range. Ran only spoons. Blue dolphin took two hits, Money puke took two hits and a green ladder back took the last hit. Headed to the pier head at 9:00pm
  9. Fished for 2:00pm to 6:00pm. Started in 110fow and worked in to 90fow. Ended up 3 for 6. All small kings (2 to 4 pounds). Two of the three lost I assume were steelhead from the way they were jumping. All the fish were on riggers and spoons (blue dolphin and a green stinger) . No hits on the dipseys or flys. Riggers were set from 100 to 65 feet down.
  10. Fished from 4 to 8:00PM for the last three days. Saturday I ended with 2 kings and a coho, Sunday a brown and a laker, Monday 2 kings, a coho and a laker. Fished in the 100 to 110 FOW all three days. Green pro king with black ladder back took 4 of the nine fish. None of the kings were 4 year olds. The coho today was over 12 pounds. My knife was not long enough to skin the fish. Nice reason to buy bigger knifes.
  11. Fished from 10am to 2pm and went 6 for 6. Started in 80 FOW and worked out to 110FOW. All the fish caught were right around the 100 FOW mark. There were 5 kings and 1 coho. 4 of the kings were 3 pound range and the fifth was 15 pounds. The coho was about 6 pounds. The hot lure was a chrome dodger and blue fly on a dispey set on 3, 100 feet out. This setup took 4 of the 6 fish. The other two were on spoons with the rigger set at 90 feet down. Thermocline was at 50-55 feet.
  12. Got out fishing from 11:30am to 2:30 pm. Worked from 70 to 80FOW. The thermocline was around 60 feet. Went 2 for 3. Both fish were kings with one being 19 lbs. The other one looked like bait but it was 4 pounds. The large king was on a dipsey 120 feet out, on 3 with a dodger and blue fly. The small king was on the rigger 60 down with a black and red stinger spoon.
  13. Had a free afternoon so we trolled from 3 to 6 pm. Was headed to 90 FOW and noticed bait in 70 FOW. So we stopped and dropped the lines. Had one hit dropping the downrigger down. Missed him. I think the lure was moving to fast for him to hit the hook. Ended with 2 kings both about 10 lbs each. First fish was on the rigger 60 feet down, and the second was on a dipsey 100 back set on 2. Both fish were on spoons. The thermocline looked like it was at 55 feet.
  14. Only got to fish for an hour before the partner got sick. The 3 foot rollers did him in. Ended with 1 7# laker on lemon ice 70 down on the rigger in 85 FOW.
  15. Start perch fishing at 11:00am and fished until 2:00pm. Ended up with 60 perch that were 8-12 inches before we ran out of minnows. Moved to 120fow and trolled until 6:00pm. Had one hit on a downrigger 90 feet down in 96 fow of water. It was a king about 8 lbs. Fished from 135 to 90 fow, marked more fish in the 100 to 90 fow range.
  16. Fished Saturday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Ended up 5 for 5 with 2 lakers, 2 cohos and 1 steelhead. Fished in 70 to 100 FOW. One of the lakers came on a dispy doger/squid combo set on 3 with 120 feet out. The steelhead came on half core with a orange spoon. The 2 coho and laker came on the down riggers with spoons 55 feet down. Fished on Sunday from 4:00pm to 7:30pm. Ended up 2 for 2 with one laker and one steelhead. Fished the same 70 to 100 FOW. Both fish came on the downriggers. The steelhead at 60 feet and the laker at 55 feet. The fleas were getting bad on Sunday. Both fish could not be reeled in until the fleas were removed from the line. It was only taking 20-30 minutes before lines were coated to the point of having to clean them off before you reel in.
  17. Fished from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Ended up with a real mixed bag. 1 steelhead, 1 laker and 1 coho. All of them were on spoons off the the riggers 50 feet down in 85 fow. Over all I went 3 for 5. Was a nice day until the wind came up. The 1 foot or less forcasted were more like 3 foot.
  18. Fished for perch yesterday from 10am until 2pm when we ran out of bait. Took home 38 with the largest at 13 inches and the smallest a 8 inches. Ended up with a gallon bag of perch. Fished in 27 fow north of the pier but before Jean Klock Park. Action was steady with a few doubles. We did catch a lot of small ones, but that means more for next year.
  19. Got out by myself at 5:30 pm and fished until 9:00pm. Took 3 lakers and one king. The lakers all came on spoons 35ft down on the riggers in 75-80 FOW. The king was on a dipsey, 85ft back on a setting of 3 with a chrome dodger and squid combo. Marked alot of fish in the 70 to 80 FOW of water but the fish did not start hitting until 7:00pm. The first hour and half I had no hits. The king was in the 10 pound range and the lakers were in the 5-8 pound range.
  20. Fished from 8:30am to 1:00pm. Started in 70 FOW and worked out to 90 FOW. Marked lots of fish and bait but few hits. Ended up 1 for 4. It was a 4 pound king on a spoon 50 ft down on a rigger. Fished the tackle box (Spoons, dodgers and squid, body baits, flashers and flys...) from the surface to bottom and could not get them to hit. This was the first time I did not get a hit on the half core lines. Strange day. At the cleaning station another boat had 3 lakers and one coho on 5 hits. Two of the lakers where taken on the top 30 feet.
  21. Got out late so we did not start fishing until 11:00 am. Started in 80 FOW, marked bait and fish until 100 FOW. The fish were still from the top to the bottom. Ended up 1 for 2 and quit at 3:00 pm. A small king on the downrigger at 40 feet. The one we lost was a steelhead on a half core. Had it on until the fifth jump and then the hooks pulled. At the fish cleaning station there were a couple of people cleaning perch. Looks like summer is finally coming.
  22. Both the king and coho were in the 4-5 pound range. Not big but good eating size.
  23. Finally got back to the boat and took the son-in law fishing. Fished from 10:30am to 3:30pm in 100-180 fow. Took one king and one coho. The king came on a dipsey/dodger and fly combo in 160fow, setting was 3 and out 225 ft. The coho came on the rigger/spoon 100 ft down in 110 fow. Late in the day we found bait fish in 100fow and that is where we picked up the coho.
  24. Still had the month of April on the wall. Just looked at it for what day monday was on. It been a busy month.
  25. Finally got on the water to test the boat. Fished from 2:00 to 4:30 . Trolled from 50 ft to 80ft and marked very few fish. I got one hit on a pro king spoon and lost it after a few seconds. Guess I need to sharpen hooks. But it was a nice day on the lake.
