Hope things are going well for you in Reno. Hows the fishing there?
From what I understand, good. I personally haven't had time, but there are many good lakes and rivers nearby. I may charter a trip on Lake Tahoe next month so I can shorten the learning curve, after the snow melts up there. They catch trout, kokanee salmon, and mackinaw, which are nothing more than transplanted lakers. I'm particularly interested in seeing their methods of fishing.

Reno, Nevada.

He just has a good proof reader!! Hehe
Oh. Well. That explains that.

Now how can I be setting lines, driving the boat, and be a trousertrouttracker at the same time?
It's called multi-tasking, Bev.
(GLF - Trousertrouttracker is her handle, or at least it used to be)
-
You da man, Jimmy.
-
I havn't gotten a subtroll yet. I think I need to get Autopilot for the boat before subtroll.
Doesn't Bev perform that function?
-
Sixshooter.

Also, do you have any idea where these glow compounds come from? I presume they are synthetic.
-
Very informative, Mike. Where did you get the test data? I think many of my lures were treated with the ten minute variety, unfortunately.
-
Rich, I really think you should consider selling your boat. Gas is just too expensive. Sell it to Sixshooter - he's loaded.

Well written, Jim, but who is this Ken DeVries dude?
Allow me to add a thought. If you ever get a monster fish on and you're running core down the chute or behind inline planer boards, you may want to pull it. On more than one occasion I've seen fish run straight over to leadcore and use it to remove the lure from their mouth. Apparently they see it as a useful tool for that purpose, and it does work. Three years ago I had a monster on while fishing off Muskegon and neglected to have the full core pulled, even though we had plenty of time to do so. Yep, that fish boogalooed straight to the core and released itself, and when we pulled the core the lure was firmly embedded in the dacron sheath. A hard lesson was learned that day by me.

Do you have the itch?
Anyone planning a trip to the big lake this coming weekend?
Sixshooter and I slalomed around the icebergs in the Port Sheldon channel for about ninety minutes this evening in our quest for spring browns. We wuz skunked. Still, it was nice to smell that open water once again.
I suspect the ice will be gone by Sat AM.

Caznik is the winner of the posting contest. Thanks for all of the posts Rich! I put the certificates in the mail.
Caznik wants to whup Sixshooter in this year's tourneys. This will help.

Well, well. If it isn't General Disarray, himself.
How are you Matt?
-
Well I take a bottle of Bud light with me. I stop the boat and drink all the beer out of it till its gone. I then take the bottle and put it on the floor of the boat and give it a good spin. Where ever the bottle points at that is where you go. As you are heading out to where ever the bottle had pointed for you. Look for seagulls, baitfish, and the right temp. Also look at the clouds,if you see a cloud that looks like a fish try it there. Now if the bottle points back to shore, the fish are not going to bite and you might as well go find a Hooters and go eat. Don't tell Sixshooter my secret.
Good luck fishing,
Caznik
That's some funny stuff.

My core rods are 8 1/2 ft. except my 15 color.
Levi, if I ever fish with you and something whacks that particular rod, it's all yours, man. You reel, I'll steer.

Six,
I know your fav. port....It should be in the "Hall" of fame!!!
Mark
Nope. NOT Whitehall, Mark. It's the other one. Jim's been very clear on that.
My fav LM port is whichever one is hot.

Hi Larry - love that avatar!

Hey, Rich. Good to see your name here. That's Ohhhh - kayyy.

Ken
Welcome....
Everytime I see your name pop up all I can think about is you out there in those 5 foot seas in the Port Sheldon tourney in your 14' tiller and many of the big boats stayed home....
I was running Larrys boat that day and stood that boat on its tail 2x thinking we were going over backwards going thru the piers. Then we saw you out there in 300 foot of water.......simply NUTS
Welcome!!!
Mark
Look Mark, all I was really doing that morning was trying to make Brian sick. He was hung over from the night before. I failed.

Howdy, Rick!

Hi Steve.

What's the frequency Kenneth? Fancy seeing you here.
How did they let you in here, Tim?

"Colossus", a 16' Lund. Kind of like calling the big guy "Tiny", only in reverse. My last boat, a 26' Baretta, I named "Sold" as I watched the new owner drive away with it. I believe I was happier that day than on the day I bought it.

So Matt, are there columns of data that represent "cocktails consumed" and "beers guzzled"?
