  1. I have had limited sucsess with magnum and over-sized baits.But they most always work when the bait fish are large.I belive lure size should match the major portion of the alwife in the area. Check out the stomic contints of the fish at the cleaning table,it's always a good place to start when fishing a new port, or when it's been a while sence you were out last.
  2. h47s will not hold more than 30 yards of copper ,and you might find the small spool dia.takes a long time to get your copper to get the memory it needs to be user frendly. I usualy have a" crash"before it takes the proper set.
  3. If I only could fish just one it would be a standard size dreamweaver chrome with green and glow tape. A close runner up is dreamweaver super slim "Crags steelhead bait",it's orange and chrome with black dots.
  4. every port is slighly different for a vast number of reasons.In my own port 80 feet of water give or take 20 would be my choice.But we fish by what the water current tells us to do. Direction that you present your spread,not the depth is much more important to me.
