thats a good place to start alot depends on how high the water is on where i sit drop some spawn right away in the moring theres not many holes around there so somtimes i just drop back alittlel until i find a couple it can be fast and furious at times.i usally fish by myself im only a couple miles from there red starcraft

i usally wait until i see steelhead going up the ladder before i start fishing.i fish the rogue river area.dont get much salmon but rock the steelhead around the end of oct. until the river freezes up fish skien in the moring then back troll later with hot and tots.was that a red boat you saw.if so that was me

fished a couple hours this morning was the only one out there a little early yet seen one salmon jump come on colder water get some fish moving

Thanks to jim bobber for taking me and my son out nice night went 3 for 9 couldnt keep them hook hard fighting 2 big kings at a time my son caught his biggest salmon 17lbs thanks again jimmey

anybody getting any kings in close to the piers in gh about how far are they

they either come from indiana or they plant them in manistee is all i know any time the water cools off in the summer its time to hit the pier with alwive or shrimp and its game on

A friend of mine fished sunday moring of the north pier he got 4 steel out of 5 he said there was alot more bait then sat.need some more cold water for the kings.....

Went 3for 5 of the north pier this morning not much bait around but a few fish bobbers were the ticket about 7 foot down

hi this is mike been fishing all my life this is a great site lots of information to be had hope to contribute. august to may is my favorite time of year lots of fish lots of fun long time friend of jimbobber.will post reports from grandriver, manistee river,piersand lakes,only have 14 footer so i dont get out on the big lake much, a couble times with jimbobber lots of fun tight lines and screaming drags
