  1. I fished Lake Michigan today after a 20 year absence. Still using that 20 year old equip, it works but holy cow. Cranking that manual downrigger up 140 feet just to change a lure was not my cup of tea. So I am going to go electric to be ready for next year. Whats your take on the electrics on the market these days? I dont want the most expensive but I dont want junk either. I am planning on two short booms on the rear corners and 2 longs booms on the sides. Lund 1850 Tyee . Water was beautiful today, got a 12 3/4 lb. laker on a big flasher and fly. Lost one other half way to boat. Out if Mich City.

  2. Anyone have experience with the Lund protrak downrigger brackets. I have a new 2011 1850 Tyee coming next week and ordered a couple of the them to mount the riggers on. Also ordered 8 of the std brackets to attach rod holders with. Will be making several trips a year to southern Lake Michigan to fish and will be fishing Monroe and Raccoon for Wipers and Stripers.

It just didnt seem to have a need for the Berts traks when the Tyee already has the pro trak system.

  3. Hi. New to this forum.. I live in central Indiana. Just ordered me a new Lund Tyee and should be taking delivery by end of next week. (June 30) Never had a new boat before but always seem to have a boat of some kind. Will be retiring sometime this fall and wanted a boat to take me from now to the grave.

The salesman said said this boat will take me anywhere I want to go. I have an older Lund with 60hp that I am going to be selling. Will take this one to Lake Michigan some and also to the many lakes in central indiana. Hope to cross paths with you.

    tight lines!
