  2. Capt. Mike:

I've been doing part-time on eastern lake erie for 2 seasons.

I only run a 22', so I know for some groups I'm too small, which is

    ok...knew that coming in.

Anyway, as a result I have had a number of trips with husband/wife

or father/son. Perfect size for my boat.

I keep track of all trips, asking where they found me. I would say

at this point that 95% of all inquiries is off my website. I place

flyers in the waterfront hotel right by my marina, they all go during

the year, but no bookings off that.

Also at the local tackle store, but I don't expect much from that, since

    his kid does trips too.

  8. Walleye fishing in the Dunkirk area continues to just be super. Limit

catches have not been uncommon, and most recently, there have been

    more larger fish taken.

At least for me, there has been no one set up that's been better than

others, as it seems that at times all work. Copper spoons/harnesses

the best, also black and purple.

  9. Right now, with the fishing so good, there have been several hot

methods. For me, A#1 has been a slide diver on wire, with a copper

    yeck spoon. Also some fish on dave's kabooms on 5 color leadcore;

and some "popping" the riggers, mostly on stingers or yecks in copper

    backs.

I have not run worms much, but I know some locals that have been

using copper/watermelon blades off jets or the leadcore.

With the spoons we've been running a bit quicker...2-2.2 on the down

    speed.

  10. The walleye fishing the last 10 days or so has been super out

of Dunkirk. During the recently completed Southtowns Walleye

Assoc. Derby, it was not unusually to hear of 20+ fish per day.

We were out on Wednesday, boated 14, and lost at least another

dozen. Nothing big, but good eaters.

  11. Another new guy on this board. I'm John Forbes, and run Times Two

Charters on Eastern Lake Erie (Dunkirk, NY) for walleye, and also

select dates on Western Lake Ontario.

I'm currently running a 22' Larson walkaround, with Fishlander riggers

    and holders.
