  2. Found a nice pod of walleye 74 FOW NW of Conneaut on Sunday, pulled 30 fish in a litlle over 4 hours, Kabooms 300 back on wire off big boards on 1 side, Renosky deep divers out 225 with 4 oz hung at 50 on mono, big boards on the other side, boxed 123 big perch first thing in the morning before we went looking for walleye

  3. Took a few neighbor kids and thier Grandpap perchin out of Ashtabula on 04 July 08, looked inshore, found a few and the ran north, found a helluva pod of fish, just a tad over 2 hours we pulled 180 fish, went back on Saturday and did 150, closest boat was a mile away, dont be afraid to leave the pack if its slow

  4. Myself, Crabass Jr, and 2 friends , went for a ride with Capt Ray, started fishing around 2 PM, pulled 103 yellow perch, had to move a few times, but ended up about 1/4 mile outside the wall, approx 50% of these tasty morsels were jumbos or damn near it, my ride is going in this weekrnd and hope to stuff the freezer with perch, before we have to haul ass and burn gas chasing walleye

  5. PENN YAN boats:

    Big? Oh Yeah! The bigger the better!

    Ugly? Not to me. Penn Yan's are one of the two or three best looking Great Lakes boats in my eye! Tiara and Rampage are the other hotties that make me drool. :D

    Heavy? Heck yeah! Got 5-7 footers? NO BIG DEAL...Let's go fish! Aluminum is for beer cans. :eek:

    Thirsty? Nah. We average about 10 gals/day for an off-shore salmon trip and about 2/3 that for on-shore browns. Not too bad for a boat with an 11' beam with twin 350's that can push it to over 40mph.

    Oh, and I'm a hard-top guy too! :grin::grin::grin:

    Just kidding Billy, I have the same boat Shu just bought, I use an average of 30 -40 gallons a day running 15 miles each way and trolling all day, and mine is just a single big block

  6. I just got a 26' PennYan with soft top.

    But, I am building my own arches for rod racks, lights, antenna's etc.

    I really like the soft top, I can get in out of the sun or rain, and I don't have to worry about knocking myself out if I forget to duck when entering the cabin area.

    Bill, why in the hell would you buy one of those big , ugly, heavy, and did I mention, THIRSTY boats, just kidding

  7. Pulled 120 yellow perch today in right around 3 hours, made a 16 mile run to NE of Conneaut, 05 n 34.8 w, helluva gas bill, but well worth it for fishing that good, I personally have struggled to find any numbers of perch in front of Ashtabula, and from the folks I talked to at my marina, it was no different today for those that tried near Ashtabula

  8. This was filmed in Gates Mills , Ohio according to the first post before deletion, thankfully someone had copied it and reposted the new link, ODNR is aware of it and is investigating. I couldnt even afford the taxes let alone a home in Gates Mills, Pretty stupid to post a video of youself poaching

  9. I was out in Ashtabula on that day. It was ruff as you know what! You guys did alright. Great job!

    Saw you guys go by my boat on the way out, its a green and white Penn Yan, just downstream from the ramp @ ARU, Me and my son were taking off the cylinder heads when you went by, bent a pushrod on Wednesday, so i thought I better get the heads checked out, stop by next time your up, and we can swap some lies and drink some beer
