  1. Short leader added. My divers are usually some of my best rods. They were not before I switched once the water got so clear. You can add a short leader of fluoro but I use mono for some additional stretch. Hard to handline them in with a smaller boat especially if you're going solo.
  2. Yes. Clip the slide diver on the braid just before the wire. Ucharters have some instructional videos on it on youtube and the braid to wire knot.
  3. 30# blood run with a 30-50' leader of 65# suffix braid for the slide diver.
  4. I don't have my chart in front of me but I'm pretty sure the mag diver dives deeper unless you add the deeper dive kit to the slide diver. Then the slide diver goes deeper. I run a 30 and 50 foot lead on my wire ups and could run longer. Some guys run the dipseys with a loop tied into the line with a small s-biner in the dipsey ro get a longer lead. They then remove it like a planer board when bringing the line it
  5. They make a kit with a larger ring and heavier weight that results in a 2:1 diver ratio on the #2 setting with wire. Nice for when the kings are deep. Ucharters has a video showing the set up on youtube.
  6. We use slide divers almost exclusively now. Fishing out if a smaller boat t biggest work great for running leads as long as you want. Started running them on wire 2 years ago.
  7. I agree that Tuna Troubles is tge place to go. I've been using them for a couple of years now and they never disappoint.
