I agree with kyle. The rubber bands in the blacks works for me. 12lb. stren for clean spoons on 47SH daiwa reels. Rod is a 7' short stick. F/F i use 25lb. triple fish.
-
I also use the brads. Tiger and blue/silver.
-
I check my knots every year. Change mono every other year.
-
I run might stuff a good distanc away from the boat. I usally don't have traffic issues to deal with it.

I had the same problem with the walleye board. Switched to the z-boards and solved the problem. I did buy a new church board (44) for running a 1 to 2 pound ball.

I agree. Oil is the blood line. I have yamaha outboards. I use yamaha oil.
-
I also use a shorter leader. 25 foot for a full core. No less then 10 feet on smaller core. This has worked well for me. I run all my lead on inline boards. I use 20lb. fluro for my leaders.

I fish out of manty. I know guys who only will use their manuals and guys that switched. I switched. To wait a year is your call, but maybe a set of used ones at a fair price will be affordable for you. With this economy their is always someone selling some. Welcome to the site, i have only been on a short time myself. If you want to ride along sometime, drop me a line.

I asked myself the same thing, adding copper rigs or trees? Well I added more copper rigs and decided to just get by with 1 tree this year. You won't be disappointed with the trees.
