  1. Great introduction John!

The flag pole(planer board mast) is where you hoist the Jolly Roger when you start combat fishing. Once the other boats see that flag flying, they will move out of your way and the lake will be all yours! :D If they dont move out of your way just get your flare gun out and blast your way through. :D

You will see other terms used in salmon fishing. FOW, SOG, and you can't forget......SOB!

There is a GREAT group of guys/gals here with many years of knowledge who will help you out with any questions you may have. As the others have said, hop on a boat with someone who has been doing it for awhile to shorten the learning curve. You will also pick up LOTS of tips and tricks you will not get from reading. ;) If you do hop on board with someone else, dont just reel in fish. Ask questions(lots of them) and ask if you can help setting lines and such.

Oh yeah....we know how to have a little fun also.

  2. congradulations, to hunter !!! Did you get a logo on the trailer? MY wife wants to see a pic of the trailer with your logo on it, and is so glad its getting used.

The trailer has been getting lots of use! Pulling it to the Little Kalamazoo Speedway today, tomorrow, and Monday.

I have not put any logos on the trailer. Part of me says put the logo on and the other part says do not put a logo on it.

But.......I have been looking for a place to make the logos to see what it would cost me. ;)

  3. Has anyone noticed how tall the alpha fields are already?

I'm taking a shot in the dark......but with the mild winter and the early availability of these nutrients it will make for a longer antler growing season and affect the size of their racks.

There "may" be some real trophy bucks taken this year! :thumb:

  4. Welcome aboard Todd. Thanks for taking a minute and doing a an introduction. Lots of GREAT information has already been posted. Dont be afraid to ask a question that may have been asked before. We frown on the replies "use the search function". I personally like to see these questions revisited, as there are new people who may have new information to add to the subjuct.

If you need anything, let out a shout.

  5. This was our last indoor race at the DeltaPlex for the season. We worked hard and our proud of our 2nd place finish.

I am learning to adjust these cars and Hunter is getting better at driving them. We spent the day chasing the track. We went from a tight track and the car bicycling on 2 wheels, to a track with no rubber on it for the heat race, and then back to a track with some rubber on it for the feature. Our last practice he was flat footing it(WOT) all the way around the track. During the heat race he could not keep from spinning out. We did not know there was no more rubber on the track when we came out for our heat race. There are no practices between heat and feature races.

It wasn't until he got passed by the other blue and got mad and that he discovered he could flat foot it again in the feature. He moved back up to 2nd on the last lap.

Now its time to change our car set ups over from indoor racing to outdoor racing. We are opening up the Little Kalamazoo Speedway this Saturday(31 March). On 1 April the track is having a "Try Ride" from 2-5 pm. For $10, kids will be able to hop in a quarter and do some laps on the track. Only one catch.....If your kid does any damages to a car, you have to pay to have the parts replaced.

I have had the same issues sith some of my videos. You will need to edit the music of your video because of the SME. You can do it in your video manager for your youtube account. All of the editing is done on youtube and you will not have to upload it again. The have artists, and recommended music for replacing yours. Click on edit video and select a different song.
