  1. Decent day on the pond, finished day 2-5. Started off in 70' headed west. Had first release on a rigger at 120', didn't feel like a big fish but could have been a whale? missed that one::mad: Next fish came at 165' on a north -west troll. 16#-10oz KING. 300' copper trailing a double trouble..moved back into 100-115' of water and had 3 consecutive rips on a dipsey diver all on a wonder bread glow spoon, #2 setting at 80-88' back. Landed first one. 8# steelhead, second one had other plans for the day. Third one ripped so hard ended up with a wonder bread glow in its throat, danced across the water like nothing I've ever seen..Needless to say dancing because he was no longer on my line. Donated that one to the lake..I guess you'll have days like that..What a great morning to be on the water!!!!:thumb:

  2. Good times on the pond!!! Finally had a decent night to take my bride out on the water..Action was good, although her new nickname for me is "can't keep em'hooked". hmmmm? Ended the night 1-5 with the one being a small laker (released)...Great night to be on the water.. Saturday started off with a bang. Set up in 195', first fish came at 215' on 300' copper pulling a double trouble which turned out to be a 10# king, second fish came at 223' on down rigger tipped with a flounder pounder parked at 75' 6# laker. 3rd fish hit at 232' on a dipsey set on 2 back 150' tagging along an orange flounder pounder 3 pound king. Had two beautiful rips on the dipsey's, landed one which was a 8# steelhead, a green glow frog did the trick on that one. the other.......see nickname above...lost yet another on a downrigger pulling a blue dolphin glow spoon. Last fish was another laker about 5#. Hit the dipsey with the #2 set at 150' with a strike king magnum? color resembles a white/purple. Ended the day at 5-7 at 10:45a.m. All fish came on a west troll from 215' to 245'. A great couple of days to be on water and enjoy the Lords splendor. Until next time...good fishing guys, and remember if you can't hook'em just tease em....---Bob

  3. Ended the day 2-3...Started off in 60'. 1st fish came at 71 fow on a rigger at 55' approx. 8:45a.m. Hit a Strike king Magnum? Green ladder back. 8-10 # king. That was on a south-west troll. 2nd was a miss at 91 fow. on a north troll. Third was on a dipsey on a 3 setting 92 ft of line, so maybe 30' to 35'? That fish hit the same as above except it was orange in flavor. Started out flat and beautiful, the wind picked up slightly and the fog rolled in. Air Temp dropped 10-15 deg in the matter of minutes. great day all-in-all. Good luck to all who venture out.:thumb:

  4. Steve, as far as I know there are 2 types....A fixed slider and a free slider...2 different concepts with the basic same result...The free slider is as mentioned above..about 6-8' of line, I use 2 snap swivels, one for the spoon and one to hook onto the main line on pole..theory is to hook the slider on after your main is down while trolling..slider will not go past the belly/apex in the line...effective way to have extra hardware in the water...generally slider will be approximately half the distance of your tackle at the ball...example....downrigger at 100', slider at 50' for a rule of thumb....fixed slider I've never run, hopefully someone can help with this one....hope this helps...good fishing

    Regards, Bob

  5. Had a late start today, started at 10:00 A.M and finished at 3:00 P.M.. Went 1 for 1....14# king on the dipsey 100' back 3 setting...trailing a blue and black poke 'a' dot nitro spoon... Had all intentions of starting out in that 190' range, although the chatter on the radio souned better in the 90'-120' range...took ours at 118'....did make it out to 160'ish....never marked alot of fish..few pockets on the way out...decent conditions early, started to chop towards the end....best I heard on the radio was something like 5 for 8...most sounded like 1 for 1.... 62 to 64 deg surface temps...apparently the white fly with white paddle was the hot set up once again for the gentleman who went that 5 for 8...hope it helps....good to be back on the lake...Bob

  6. 2 for 2 today. Both fish taken were medium size kings...8-9 lbs...first hook-up was at 7:45 in 87' of water...down 35' or so on a dipsey dragging a blue/black dot glow spoon..next one came at 8:15 same depth on a slider at 30' to 35' range...silver and green ladder back pro king magnum with red eye...surface temp is warm.....70 to 74 deg.... both fish were males...thought they were female...fat fish...sacks were loaded.....blessed to a great sunrise on the pond today as well as the lake offering...till next time, good fishing...

    Regards, Bob

  7. Ventured back out for the night fish..ended up 3-4...First fish was a beauty 16# king.. hooked into him in 130' of water 87' down on a rigger. pro-king magnum green/silver ladder back with a red eye..not sure what it's called..fish came at 6:10 pm...waited three hours for the fun to begin..at 9:15 we're in the 85' to 90' range and a rigger takes a rip, slow reaction, nothing there...five minutes later same rigger same depth 76' down on a double trouble moonshine..approx. 9:40 our last fish was put in the boat, that one hit a glow in the dark blue dolphin, on a dipsey....same depth had it set to a three and 125' back...pretty exciting half hour or so.....I've never marked so many fish out there...at dark the screen was loaded constant in the 85'-90' range...until next time, good fishing...Bob

  8. 2 for 3 this A.M. all three fish at the 110' to 113' range..Steelhead on the dipsey about 40ish down at 7:30 am...small king on a rigger at 75' down...and the one lost on a rigger at 75'... green ladder back nitro and green/silver pro king magnum are the two we caught fish...not sure which one we lost the other fish on either blue/silver pro king magnum or orange ladder back? marked alot of fish in the 90' to 115' range....great morning to be out on the lake...
